Answer:	I would say no, we attached it to a vanity mirror facing.. as in a flush upright mounting.

Answer:	It's well made and is durable. How long it'll last is going to depend on how much you use it and how hard you are on it. My guess is that it'll last a long time. I say this because mine has lasted longer than my previous mouse pad made by 3M, which was much more expensive, as well as longer than my mouse pad before that, which shredded after less than a year. The thing I'm finding great about this MROCO pack is that it's inexpensive and you even get 3 to a pack, so I can say the pack of 3 will last maybe years.
