Answer:	My hair is crazy thick and naturally very wavy and frizzy in the humidity. I swear by these hot rollers and have used them since middle school (I’m 30). They work best if you blow out your hair with a round brush then immediately use the hot rollers with a spray gel (herbal essence spray gel, teal bottle). 5-6 rollers straight back - I do the first by my face with a thick roller and the bottom piece at base of my neck with the thick one) then 3 on each side of my head. Thick one by the face and then 2 of the smaller ones behind it. Keep in for 10 min for looser curls, 20-30 for longer stay. Take out, toss your head over and run fingers through the scalp part to loosen at the base, and then add gloss! My curls last 5-6 days cause I have very dry hair (unless it’s the dead of summer then typically 4 days cause humidity - my nemesis ). Enjoy!!!!

Question:	What is the maximum temperature that these rollers will achieve? I see that the regular conair rollers will get to 390 degrees. Do these get that hot
Answer:	The edges of these curlers do get pretty darn hot. If you handle them carefully on hair long enough to prevent the edges from touching your scalp, there should be no problem. I would not advise using them on children or anyone with reduced sensitivity to heat.
Question:	These clips?? has Conair offered a set of clips to hold the rollers in your hair? One move and they are on the floor. #failBADLY
Answer:	I called Conair when I had the same issue. They sent a pack of clips but they did NOT fit these rollers! They sent the metal U shaped clips used for years for hot rollers. Nothing I did made these rollers stay in my longer than shoulder length course wavy hair! I sent the set back!!!

Answer:	I gave my sister a set for her birthday. Her hair is shoulder length and thin. They work for her very well and she was so appreciative of the gift. They add volume to her hair and her hair looks great; no curls, just soft waves. Hair products have a lot to do with it. We use a small amount of Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Hydrocream Whip right before setting our hair. After we let the rollers out, we do not disturb hair for a few minutes (per roller directions). Then, we treat with a small amount of Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Styling Treatment Oil. Have fun with your hair. Note: I did get her the Conair SPC10X Super Clips Perp, because of her shorter hair. I do not need them, I manage without them.

Question:	Can you place the clip by scalp to keep from burning scalp
Answer:	You have to put the clip on the roller by aiming from the bottom to the top so that one side of the clip rests against your scalp. Not sure that makes sense but I was able to figure it out after a few attempts. It was easier to do with my longer hair that wrapped around the roller a few times than on the layered pieces closer to my scalp.

Answer:	I don't think they'll stay put in thin hair. The clips won't have enough anchor. They'll flop all over. Plus, these rollers get so hot they burn my scalp. I have to put a little square of toilet tissue next to my scalp before I put on the clamp/clip thing.

Answer:	Yes you can. This is the only set of 2" hot roller sets I could find in the market. After buying it, you will find a section on the back side of the Smooth Waves Instruction "pamplet" in the very last English section where you can buy extra clips and 2" jumbo JF rollers (3 for $5.75). Answer:	Not the clamps, metal pins. They work well for me. And my hair is pretty short and they hold the roller well. Hope this helps

Answer:	There are metal posts that heat them. The curlers slide onto the metal posts and are heated from the middle outwards. They quite hot but do take a few minutes to heat up.

Answer:	I don't see why not. I have a few clairol brand clips that I use, they work fine. Pretty much shaped the same just had to squeeze them so they were a tad tighter grip on the curler

Answer:	Hi there! I have not burned my fingers because I have used the rollers by holding the ends, however i have had the rollers too close to my neck and felt the heat. I'be held the roller up with a rolled face towel until it cools enough to touch my neck.
Question:	I am a roller "virgin". I have never used them. How do you heat them up? Are they easy to use? Will they work on fine hair? Is one set enough
Answer:	This answer will be attributed to my husband because I'm answering on his Amazon account, but I am a woman with just-below shoulder-length hair. I bought this kit yesterday at Walmart and have yet to see how the actual ceramic rollers work as the "pins" they provide to hold the rollers in place DO NOT HOLD THE ROLLERS IN PLACE, and any woman who has ever curled her hair will see this right out of the box. If you have never used curlers, you will fuss and fiddle with these pins and think that you're doing something wrong---you aren't. It's the poor quality pins provided in this kit. They do not "fit" the rollers (the instructions tell you to place them "crosswise" over the roller but they aren't long enough for that). You can get a somewhat diagonal direction going, but by then you've pushed most the hair off the curler and possibly popped the pin off the roller too. I lost most the hair off the roller every time I tried to slide these awful pins on. It is obvious that no one actually TRIED these things out before Remington started selling them to the unsuspecting masses. The pins also allow the rollers to slid off your head, or to slide down onto your neck---a hot ceramic roller on the back of your neck doesn't feel too good. Of course, as I said, I saw that this was going to pretty much happen after opening the box, but thought, having rolled my hair for decades now, that I could work through it. Nope. I finally gave up. I hear you can buy spring-loaded plastic clips (the ones that look like a set sharp teeth--uppers and lowers--opening and closing) from Conair or one of those brands, but I haven't gone out and looked for those yet. $15.00 for a set of 10 ceramic rollers from Remington, and then $9.00 more, at least, for clips from another company that supposedly work. We'll see. I wanted these because blow-drying my hair is causing a lot of frizz and broken ends and I know other women who love ceramic rollers.

Answer:	I don't have the Caruso rollers but I don't see why not because these are clips so they expand to the size of the roller and hold it in place.

Answer:	I love these this is my 2 nd set as they only come with 10 and I needed 12 (of course!) They originally came with my curler set and through time and my own negligence went missing. I went to every store but couldn't replace them. Finally, Amazon. I'm quite sure these will hold 2 inch rollers. Mine seem to be about 3/4 inch and one inch. This is so much better for me than stabbing myself with the other metal clips that are usually provided. I find these hold very very well. Occasionally the roller on top right behind the bangs needs adjusting as there's not as much hair to hold into. I have shoulder length hair but shorter in front and on top mostly. (Layered). I did just open them to see if they could secure 2 inches and they do open wide enough so I think they would. It claims all sizes. An orange juice can may be too wide but I think they will work fine with your rollers. I have fine hair but a lot of fine hair. I can't imagine how it is that they don't work for some people. If you feel they are too lose then reroll catching more of the hair closer to the scalp. I'm not talking about the hair already in the roller but the hair not in the roller that is closest to the scalp. I'm sure you will do fine. I wouldn't be afraid to order them as the convenience is magnificent. I don't think I would go jogging but they are more than sufficient while putting on my make up and getting dressed. Good luck. Question:	I recently bought a vintage Lady Schick Steam Roller Set that came without the clips. The largest roller is 1 1/2. Which clips

Question:	Do I leave the lid down or open when heating
Answer:	The curlers will heat more quickly with the lid down.
Question:	I cannot get these to grasp my hair. Anyone else have trouble with really silky soft hair being unable to roll
Answer:	I use just regular hair spray on the end of each section when rolling with hot rollers. I spray, run a comb through the hair and roll. It helps to hold the hair on the roller to get started AND HELPS THE CURL TO stay in the hair. ( works like a hair styling gel. Anyone remember DippityDoo?) I have been doing this for 40+ years. Your comb will collect dried hair spay and need to be washed often. Liquid soap or shampoo and a soak in a basin of warm water will help to release it. An OLD TOOTH brush does a complete job of cleaning The comb.
Question:	Are the rods the rollers sit on metal or plastic? I can't tell by the picture
Answer:	Has anyone seen a STEAM hot roller system, which uses hard, thick plastic rollers on a vented platform above bath of boiling water? The steam from the boiling water rises to the rollers which one then rolls into one's hair and secures firmly with a clip. By the time the last roller is secured the first one is almost ready to be taken off. The rollers have special ends so they can be handled even with the steamy hot,or one can use gloves. The steam energy is released into the hair as it curls and the set lasts a very very long time. I had one many years ago and it took me less than 15minures to tame my very coarse, thick, curly hair into smooth manageability. I briefly used a hot air brush ( https://www.amazon.com/Salon-Hot-Air-Brush-3-4/dp/B000GZD1JG -- this product has plastic spines which don't deform at high heat,and I used the 11/2" wide brush) afterwards to create a style that lasted all day. I'd be willing to pay a LOT if I could find this perfect system again.
