Answer:	My hair is crazy thick and naturally very wavy and frizzy in the humidity. I swear by these hot rollers and have used them since middle school (I’m 30). They work best if you blow out your hair with a round brush then immediately use the hot rollers with a spray gel (herbal essence spray gel, teal bottle). 5-6 rollers straight back - I do the first by my face with a thick roller and the bottom piece at base of my neck with the thick one) then 3 on each side of my head. Thick one by the face and then 2 of the smaller ones behind it. Keep in for 10 min for looser curls, 20-30 for longer stay. Take out, toss your head over and run fingers through the scalp part to loosen at the base, and then add gloss! My curls last 5-6 days cause I have very dry hair (unless it’s the dead of summer then typically 4 days cause humidity - my nemesis ). Enjoy!!!!

Answer:	I don't know what the difference is, don't have the newest XTreme heat jumbo.. etc. Won't buy another Conair product after my experience with this one.

Question:	Do I leave the lid down or open when heating
Answer:	The curlers will heat more quickly with the lid down.
Question:	I cannot get these to grasp my hair. Anyone else have trouble with really silky soft hair being unable to roll
Answer:	I use just regular hair spray on the end of each section when rolling with hot rollers. I spray, run a comb through the hair and roll. It helps to hold the hair on the roller to get started AND HELPS THE CURL TO stay in the hair. ( works like a hair styling gel. Anyone remember DippityDoo?) I have been doing this for 40+ years. Your comb will collect dried hair spay and need to be washed often. Liquid soap or shampoo and a soak in a basin of warm water will help to release it. An OLD TOOTH brush does a complete job of cleaning The comb.
Question:	Are the rods the rollers sit on metal or plastic? I can't tell by the picture
Answer:	Has anyone seen a STEAM hot roller system, which uses hard, thick plastic rollers on a vented platform above bath of boiling water? The steam from the boiling water rises to the rollers which one then rolls into one's hair and secures firmly with a clip. By the time the last roller is secured the first one is almost ready to be taken off. The rollers have special ends so they can be handled even with the steamy hot,or one can use gloves. The steam energy is released into the hair as it curls and the set lasts a very very long time. I had one many years ago and it took me less than 15minures to tame my very coarse, thick, curly hair into smooth manageability. I briefly used a hot air brush ( https://www.amazon.com/Salon-Hot-Air-Brush-3-4/dp/B000GZD1JG -- this product has plastic spines which don't deform at high heat,and I used the 11/2" wide brush) afterwards to create a style that lasted all day. I'd be willing to pay a LOT if I could find this perfect system again.

Answer:	You can order more medium, small or large rollers if you want. If you look on the insert/instruction booklet that comes with the original set, you will see that you can order parts. I ordered 6 more medium curlers because I don't use the large either so now myConair set has 12 medium and 8 small curlers which is perfect for me.

Answer:	I don't have it in front of me-but there are approximately 10 large curlers, 6 medium, and 6 or so small ones...

Answer:	You have to have the right pins. The pins that come with the set do not stay in no matter what type of hair you have ! I suggest to you and other to buy the metal hair pins. They hold no matter where you place the roller. Take bigger sections of thin hair for it to stay put.

Question:	How will I use these? I will put them on damp hair and let it dry ovrnight then take them out
Answer:	Set hair when it's wet, dry it fully, then remove the rollers.
Question:	how do you take the rollers out without undoing any curl
Answer:	My hair is shoulder length so I just slide the rollers gently to the end of my hair and twist a little to reshape the curl. I don't think it would be super "curly" because they are such large rollers. Great for lift/body and bend at the ends. If I wait for my hair to be completely cool and do a light mist of hairspray the curl/shape stays all day.
Question:	I have hip length thin-ish hair, will have to use hairspray, etc. to get the curls to stay? Is there a roller I can use with no other products
Answer:	My hair was mid back length and also pretty fine in texture. I started rolling approximately mid way so the curls would start there. The ends were just wrapped last. I secured them with an alligator clip since the velcro wasn't secure enough. Then applied the blow dryer to them and allowed them to cool. They work fine.
Question:	What is the diameter if the roller
Answer:	They're 2.5 inches in diameter. I use them on the top and sides and some smaller ones around the bottom. 1 pack isn't enough for me, but I don't think I could handle 2 packs of rollers this big.

Question:	What is the maximum temperature that these rollers will achieve? I see that the regular conair rollers will get to 390 degrees. Do these get that hot
Answer:	The edges of these curlers do get pretty darn hot. If you handle them carefully on hair long enough to prevent the edges from touching your scalp, there should be no problem. I would not advise using them on children or anyone with reduced sensitivity to heat.
Question:	These clips?? has Conair offered a set of clips to hold the rollers in your hair? One move and they are on the floor. #failBADLY
Answer:	I called Conair when I had the same issue. They sent a pack of clips but they did NOT fit these rollers! They sent the metal U shaped clips used for years for hot rollers. Nothing I did made these rollers stay in my longer than shoulder length course wavy hair! I sent the set back!!!
Question:	my hair is shoulder length are these rolls to big
Answer:	I gave my sister a set for her birthday. Her hair is shoulder length and thin. They work for her very well and she was so appreciative of the gift. They add volume to her hair and her hair looks great; no curls, just soft waves. Hair products have a lot to do with it. We use a small amount of Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Hydrocream Whip right before setting our hair. After we let the rollers out, we do not disturb hair for a few minutes (per roller directions). Then, we treat with a small amount of Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Styling Treatment Oil. Have fun with your hair. Note: I did get her the Conair SPC10X Super Clips Perp, because of her shorter hair. I do not need them, I manage without them.
Question:	These clips suck. Anyone found anything suitable to hold the rollers in your hair
Answer:	Instead of putting the clip on from under the roller, put the clip straight down from the top of the roller after you have rolled it tight to the scalp and put the top of the clip right against scalp. This works even with my shorter hair.

Answer:	Yes, due to the size of the rollers. Thank you for asking.
Question:	what hair type would u say worked best on this product
Answer:	I don't think your hair needs to be at least six inches long for these to work. Mine is much shorter BUT I also bought a triangle net for under a couple dollars. Put the net on covering your bottom row of rollers in the back, pull it a bit so it will keep the rollers in place and tie it at the top of your forehead. This works perfect for me. Keeps the rollers in, and in place and all rolled up.
Question:	What size are these? 2" diameter
Answer:	The tape measure I have measures the diameter of the foam at just slightly under 2", more like 1 7/8ths".
Question:	DO THE CLIPS STAY FASTENED OR SEPERATE
Answer:	I slide the clips out, roll my hair, slide the clip back in and snap shut. They stay fastened. When I am dry, I unfasten and slide the clip out before I take the curler out . This way my hair will not tangle with the clip. I read this hint from another user.

Question:	what are dimensions of container
Answer:	The rollers are a decent size, but unfortunately they are at my other house. I can measure them when I go back in about 9 days and tell you then. I do prefer the larger ones and wish they were all that size. They are great curlers, and I wanted them for travel and they work very well on my long hair. I would recommend them.

Answer:	Yes - I have very fine hair just below my shoulders. I can do my whole head with the larger ones. Works very well, curl holds all day.
Question:	I have baby fine hair that sits just above my shoulders. Has anyone with fine hair used these? I've never used hot curlers before
Answer:	I've had this set for years and have used it in a number of European countries. I was told that the converter is internal and doesn't need a voltage switch. It automatically converts when 220 voltage is used. The first time I plugged it into a 220 outlet in Europe, I held my breath, but no problem. It worked fine. You do need an adapter plug but no converter. My set has lasted for years but finally stopped working. I came here to buy another one and saw this question so thought I would share my experience.

Question:	Would these work if you used a Caruso moist heat and then rolled dry hair? Thanks. Has anyone tried it
Answer:	Sorry, just noticed this. I don't know what "Caruso moist heat" is, but my favorite way to use them is to put them in my dry hair before showering on non-hair wash day. The steam from the shower results in great results. But they also work great on wash day after blowdrying and using on nearly or completely dry hair. Love them.
Question:	When I unroll my hair, it gets all caught up? How can I easily roll and unroll them without breaking my hair
Answer:	This has worked for me, for many years. With each section, pull all the hair together, and roll it all in the the middle of the roller, not across the entire roller. Also, a good conditioner is a must. Un-roll each roller, "pulling" them out, will cause them to tangle. Hopes this helps:)
