Question:	What is the size of the barrel for attachments
Answer:	The shut off is at the bottom of the handle where the hand and the hose connect. You twist it to turn on or off, you can also use it to lessen the water pressure if needed. I have found this hand-held shower to work great. It may not be fancy but it does what a shower is meant to do. The only problem I would see is the on/off being a twisting thingy because some people may have very a very weak grip due to arthritis or some other condition.
