It has true boar bristles and I love it because the bristles while soft are thick enough that it can manage my thinning hair without irritating my scalp. I clicked "re-order" and ended up with a similar looking brush. But this one is 153 (instead 153S). It has plastic (not boar) bristles which will not touch my head because they would most definitely irritate my scalp. Bottom line for me - watch the product name closely. 153S = wonderful. 153 = pass.

Answer:	In my experience, yes. Provided you use with this brush with a proper shampoo and/or conditioner. I use this brush on my beard and I also use beard shampoo and beard oil and my beard dandruff has reduced significantly to the point it's almost nonexistent. Answer:	Hey there, I got this for my wife who has thick hair and she loves it, My daughter who has a very thin hair use it all the time as well especially on trips and she likes it as well and wants one for xmas. I do not think blow drying would make it stick because it is made out of wood and it has a cushion part that is rubber like but very smooth. THey do not use blower often but my hunch based on its built it would be OK.
