Answer:	No, there is no oily residue at all, but be sure to wash twice. The first wash seems like it does not foam a lot but I think that is because it's really digging in. The second wash us what gets my hair fluffy. I also found that I had to keep adding water as I was washing. Does not stop itching but help to glean scalp.
