Answer:	I use it a part of my regiment for hair loss. I've been using it for 3 years. The active ingredient Ketoconazole (1%) works to suppress the androgen receptor which is part of the process of testosterone conversion to DHT and its destructive action on hair follicles. DHT binds to the receptors of hair follicles 5 times more than testosterone. It is thought that an abundance of DHT attached to hair follicle receptors can trigger the follicles to miniaturize, leading to hair loss. Answer:	As LaLa said, the ingredients have changed. I bought a bottle about 2 years ago with the L-cysteine, green tea extract etc. And only used it a couple times. It sat for two years in the cabinet and I had forgotten about it. I Recently noticed my hair on the top back portion of my head was thinning. Eventhough the bottle was old, I decided to use it and it actually worked. In about 2 weeks, my hair is visibly thicker in that area.
