This product is sulfate free and Curly Girl method approved if you follow that. :) The silicone used in this product is water soluble (if you are a no/low-poo person) as well. You can google "is it curly girl" and there are websites that let you copy and past the ingredient list of products, and they will tell you what they stuff in them is and what to watch out for. Question:	I’m a guy trying to learn lol. My hair’s fine & wavy, use the defining cream for curls but still frizz. Advice for which one when my hair’s drying
Answer:	Frizz can signal any number if things and not just product. Since you're learning, first figure out your hair porosity, from there you will be able to figure out what your hair wants - what it needs. To do this just Google: Hair Porosity Test, which basically involves a quick test, floating a piece of CLEAN (no product since product coating on a hair will alter results) dry hair (retrieve a strand from shower floor - let it dry) in a cup of water. Your hair porosity will be either low, medium or high. From there you can determine if your hair requires just moisturizers but no protein coating product or mostly moisturizing product but could benefit from the occasional protein treatment or your hair craves mostly protein based product but easy on the essential oils and moisturizers. Another strand test to give you this information is an Elasticity Test. Again, Google and start reading! I personally have medium-high porosity hair so my thick, 3a curls absolutely FREAK if I use protein based shampoos, stylers or anything. Not knowing this most of my life gave me cabinets loaded down with product that 'didn't work' but I never understood why. Like most people, I chalked it up to the alcohol. Now I know that it's the added undistilled protein that made my hair wonky & frizzy, and it didn't matter what well-meaning, trusted company made the product or how many people swear by it or IG it with a perfect selfie! This defining cream you tried mentions it's for all curl types and texture but notice it doesn't tell you for what porosity type - and that is where it matters, what the results will actually be. Naturally curly dot com has great articles to help people figure this all out as well as protein types (distilled vs undistilled coconut) and reading labels. For towel, get a few microfiber towels for hair and never again use anything else to dry your hair. When you dry, use the towel to squeeze/press water out. Don't rub it around your head like you just bathed the dog 😉. Another thing you may want to try is put your leave-in conditioner (if your hair needs it) followed by styling product(s) of choice while your hair is still dripping wet. As soon as you shut off the shower, give your hair a light squeeze with that new towel just to keep the runoff, the water drops back then dry the rest of you. When you start grabbing product, going through your routine of deodorant and so on, get that product on your hair, don't let so much as a single strand air dry. If it does start to dry for whatever reason, rewet it and this is why every curly keeps a spray bottle of water on hand. My hair is so moisture craved, I have to get my stylers in when my hair is drenched. If my hair starts to dry ever so slightly before I get to it and I put product in with my hair like that, it will be frizzy no matter what perfectly suited product I'm using. But if my hair has started to dry then I spray bottle my hair back down to dripping wet, gently squeeze the dripping excess, put in my product, it's like magic - no frizz! Next tip: look up on Amazon or Sallys beauty Supply and get a Denman brush. You said you have fine hair so you'll want a 7 row Denman brush with removable rows. Then look up on you tube, how to use a Denman brush on curly wavy hair. It'll change your life👍 Lastly and the most important but often most difficult, after you've done all of that, your product is in, you've brushed, scrunched and its done: DO. NOT. TOUCH. IT. or tie it back or sit in front of a fan to get it dried faster or go for a bike ride - all of this is inviting frizz. Let your hair take it from there. It's a good time to go watch an old movie, preferably one in which a girl is on the phone and says: "You mean this Friday? Oh I don't know, Bobby. I don't think I can go on Friday night. Answer:	I would think so. Put this on your damp hair and it makes it easier to comb and style. Having relaxed hair should not be an issue.

Answer:	I purchased this item on a whim....and was pleasantly impressed. It really does make my hair feel silky, not greasy (and I use a generous amount). My hair is fine, but Ive got a lot of it. I don’t think it dries my hair any quicker than any other heat protectant however. It smells really nice too. I’d buy it again.

Answer:	Yes, free of both. I checked the ingredients list on the jar before responding here. And, I love this product. Before this I used "It's A 10" , which I would still recommend to anyone who asks, but this product is best for me. I use it after my shower while my hair is still wet, then again in the morning with a few drops of water on my fingers. A little goes a long way. My hair goes down my back 1/2 way down my shoulder blade.

Answer:	I had to look up what Alopecia means and what it says on WebMD is this: https://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/guide/alopecia-areata#1. Those are the cures available, therefore I doubt if this quite plain oil can help you grow hair. It might help to make your scalp smooth and soft but it is definitely not to be used as a medical therapy.

Answer:	Not sure if this particular one is but sure there is one that is for colored treated hair.
Question:	does this make your hair grow
Answer:	It helped my hair grow stay really healthy and I recently cut a lot of my colored hair off and it grew very fast and I feel this product had something to do with it ( I use it as a conditioner and leave in)

Answer:	They are not cruelty free. They test in animals (are required to since they are sold in China).
Question:	Could i use this product as a leave in
Answer:	I have thick curly hair and this is the only one product I use it it for lil over a year and I noticed a lot of change in my hair it made my new growth very healthy , strong , soft and shiny and I think it helped my hair grow it's an amazing leave in. Question:	Is this a shampoo or oil ? I see people saying oil
Answer:	Its neither. It has some oil 8n 8t but it is mostly water. They site it as a shampoo, but it is definitely not one. It is a water based scalpeside .
Question:	Does this product make it more greasy/oily
Answer:	I found that when I blow dry my hair after rubbing in the oil, it doesn't look greasy. When I put in the oil then let my hair air dry, it does look a bit oily and weighted down. When I put the oil in at night on previously blow dried hair and sleep on it, it looks oily/wet when I first put it on but after sleeping on it, it is absorbed into my hair/scalp and doesn't look greasy in the morning!
Question:	Does this actually help with dry flaky scalp
Answer:	It has for me. While not perfect, it does curb about 90% of my issues. It is only bad if I haven't washed my hair in a number of days (winter I tend to wash it less than summer since your skin dries out a lot more. but if one waits too long, then the hair follicles build up with oil and dirt). What I am saying is, there is a balance. If you use this during winter as your main shampoo and don't over wash your scalp, this should work for you. In summer, I would switch off, using it only occasionally as it may over-correct your dry-scalp issue.
Question:	Is it supposed to be an oil? The one I just got is very watery
Answer:	It is supposed to be watery, yes. Despite being watery, it works very well. The watery nature allows me to spread it on my head easier. I just finished off my first bottle of this stuff, and this is the only haircare/beauty product I have ever sought out to buy again - I cannot sing its praises enough. You won't be disappointed.
