Answer:	Put it directly on the scalp for new hair growth. I saw a friend use it for this. I haven’t used it for this but I can tell you as a yogi that putting oil on the scalp has its own benefits and is done regularly as a part of a practice called abhyanga. One thing about it is that your hair will still be oily after shampooing. My teacher taught me that the trick to getting the oil out is to add shampoo **while hair has no water in it.** Massage shampoo into hair very well *before* adding water. Some say to shampoo twice but I can’t say if the second shampoo actually helps, because I’ve heard that the water somehow interferes with it. I don’t know if it was my shampoo to blame, but I’ve found my hair still is oily afterwards (using sesame oil, but I imagine it would be similar), or maybe I didn’t massage the shampoo in enough. Anyway, I pass that along, because my teacher was emphatic about shampooing directly onto the oil, without water in the way, to get it to act on the oil, before adding water. She oils her hair regularly, so I believe her, even though I’ve only tried her solution once.

Answer:	I had to look up what Alopecia means and what it says on WebMD is this: https://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/guide/alopecia-areata#1. Answer:	I am caucasian and as a treatment it definitely seems to help grow back patches of 'dying' hair while enhancing the body and texture of my hair overall. As a caucasian, though, you will probably NOT want to go to work or be seen in public with the oil still applied. WAAAY too oily, so it will make you look ridiculous at best. For obvious reasons, anyone with African ancestry could get away with this. There is a simple work-around in any case: I simply apply it at night, maybe two or three nights a week, then shampoo it out in the morning. It takes me two shampooings to wash it out completely. But the effect remains. An excellent product I think. Just as a side-note, I couldn't help but chuckle at the words of one of the earlier answers here: "race is just a social construct" they wrote, so they say it's not a factor to consider. That is such an absurd statement that I can only stand back in awe at the power of politically correct programming. Racial genetics dictate not just the shape of your hair, but the very structure and shape of your skull. You only need your eyes to prove that...! :-) For heaven's sake, think for yourself.
