Answer: This doesn’t smell anything like the Shalimar I’ve been using for 60 years. It smells awful. I would never buy from this seller again.

Answer: I have been using Shalimar from Guerlain as long as I can remember and I am 67 years old. It smells and looks like Shalimar from Guerlain. I love it and so does my husband.
Question: How do I know that this is authentic Shalimar from Guerlain
Answer: First of all, if you have never smelled the original it would be best to do that at a department store so you can know how it is supposed to smell. I too love the original and know the difference because I've owned several vintage bottles. I took a chance on this one and am positive it is the real stuff. Your best bet is to go on Ebay and look for bottles like this one sealed in the box. I prefer the actual eau de parfum and saw what I was looking for on Ebay was quite pricey in the original 60's-70's style bottles I am familiar with. The only reason I did not purchase was because I became suspicious some unscrupulous sellers may be watering down those bottles because the real perfume came in a splash and spray type bottle. I would not purchase a splash style. My next purchase may still be an Ebay purchase in the EDP spray. No seller wants a bad rating and if I even suspect dilution will contact them for a full refund including shipping and will make them aware I will leave negative feedback if they refuse to comply. I hope my answer has been helpful to you. What I purchased here is the real deal and lasts long enough on my skin I am sure it is the genuine fragrance and perfume. If I have somehow been duped, the dupe is so incredible I have no remorse. ;) (I just looked at the prices on Ebay. Most are absurd. I had a great buy with this purchase on here.

Answer: I am afraid there is no way to verify that I know of. This is because the box I got and the bottle and the color was the exact same one as the one I had been purchasing from Dillards. It even smelled like it at first but disappeared after some minutes and that is when I realized it was fake. I have been advised to never but frangrance online but to go to an authentic store and purchase. I have gone back to Dillards and I still love my fragrance La vie set belle! It lasts the entire day!!!!

Answer: Why are so many sellers claiming ownership for the same listing? You are answering all these questions from many different profiles. That's shady as hell. 2. You can't verify authenticity by smell. Check the serial numbers on the bottle, and make sure they match the box. Google "Is My La Vie Est Belle a fake?" There will be slight differences in the bottle, the cap, the elastic, the inner carton, the addresses, text, and writing on the actual back of the box. These fakes have gotten so sophisticated, and they vary. I have a fake, but outside all the differences from the real LVEB, it's the mismatched serial numbers on the bottle and box that were a dead giveaway. They do not match each other, as they should, and they do not match the genuine Lancome product. I have the genuine product in several sizes. I just bought a cheap one to see if it might be real. I had to fight like hell to get my money back, and my refund is currently still on hold. The picture in the listing wasn't even the same as the box sent to me. The listing owner claimed it was "100% AUTHENTIC!!," and then tried to fight me for my refund. When I said I was going to send the fake to Lancome because this was a felony, and obtain a police report in order to keep the bottle to send it to Lancome (they originally wanted it back to resell and scam another person), I woke up to an email from the seller saying my refund was issued after all. Lacome has already received the fake, and they are sending me a real one for reaching out to them about this issue. Just because they claim it's real, doesn't make it real. Be vigilant. Of course they're gonna claim authenticity. That's what scammers do. Protect yourself. Take a video opening the package, and document everything in the verification process.
