Answer:	Very unlikely. The US FDA has mandated removal of 19 antibacterial compounds including triclosan from consumer products in 2016 and completely banned these 19 in 2017. This soap (unless we are dealing with some batch that was made prior to 2017) contains another antibacterial compound, which the FDA still allows in consumer products — benzalkonium chloride. It is active against Staphilococcus but I do not know whether it is more or less effective compared to triclosan. Since benzalkonium is practically all that’s still available, I’ve been using this for a couple of years and so far so good. Smells nice and lathers well.

Answer:	No it is not.; the one reason I bought it. Actually, a anti-bacterial agent is wasteful and a unnecessary ingredient with soap. I bought the same in a 2 pack (64 oz. each) for $16 in 2016. Use 80% soap/20% water. I am only down to 2/3 of the first bottle (second still unopened). I use it with my hand automatic soap dispenser by sowden. This soap product has no flaws or concerns. It is mild, gentle, and safe for anybody. Leaves hands clean, smelling good (so, perhaps a little scent ingredient), and super fresh with no dryness. Most people do not know this...but soaps are better than hand sanitizers for the corona virus. Thank goodness for the latter. With this and my hand soap dispenser, my hands are safe from the covid-19 for many many years.
