Answer:	No. I would not use it for a car seat/ carrier. The vents are around the sides only, not the top so the air would not circulate well for that usage.

Answer:	I believe it's a PVC closed cell foam, and not rubber (www.notrax.com). I have mine on a wood floor, and it's never even remotely stuck to the floor, yet it's grippy. So easy to clean too! The cats fur doesn't get trapped like my other rug.

Answer:	Hi Margaret,Nothing special, really, not much to say. I mop it together with the laminate in my kitchen and do it the most old-fashion way there is - with water as hot as I can touch and a piece of old plush towel downgraded to floor cleaning and slipped onto the sweeper left over from the times when I used Swiffer. The towel provides great grip and cleans the uneven surface of the mat very well. On a side note - I don't like chemicals or buying wipes only to waste it in a second. Periodically I add vinegar to water for anti-bacterial mopping. Pieces of one old bath towel serve me long enough before I downgrade the next one. Anyway, once in a while I take the mat outside and let it soak in detergent a bit, then brush and rinse. I steamed it 2-3 times times when a steamer was out for bigger jobs, also to kill the germs. So far I've managed not to stain it with anything really bad like ketchup or grease, so I can't really say if and how something like that would go away. I really like this mat because I feel like it provides great cushion and keeps your feet warm, it's the right color too and it does not fade so I take a bit better care of it than I normally would of things like a kitchen mat. I'm not an avid housekeeper:-)
