Question:	Does this gate require two hands to opperate? Turning the knob with one hand while pulling the gate with another
Answer:	I'm not sure why there are varying answers to this, maybe the product changed? But mine requires two hands, you must push in and twist, then hold while you pull the gate open. To avoid this I twisted the knob and then shoved a thumbtack into the gap at the bottom of the knob, that works just fine for holding the knob in place.
Question:	The top clip to the retractable baby gate has snapped in half
Answer:	First the bottom, in my case -- and after a 'hack-y' fix that lasted another week -- now the top has broken. Doesn't look like a replaceable part -- I've spent a lot of time thinking on how I could "add some hardware" to simulate the missing clips. A shame - because I liked the gate, in concept. Definitely wasn't up to the abuses of regular use and an enthusiastic puppy.
Question:	Does it lock in place when expanded? In other words, does it stay in place if a baby try’s to push it
Answer:	The gate latches to a wall catch plate that holds it while extended. If a baby pushes on the gate or falls on the gate while extended it will flex as the retractable roller does not lock in place. We use these gates as dog barriers and my dogs jump on them all the time, it will flex and then return to use position.
Question:	Does the 71 inch width include the mounting brackets
Answer:	Be VERY cautious if you are buying this for a large opening. Yes it does extend to 70-71 inches (not 72)... however, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: you need to twist the knob on the left side of the screen before it retracts, and at the same time use your right hand to unhook the screen on the right side. This is a safety feature to make it hard for little kids to retract the screen, it makes it nearly impossible to use for a very large opening, unless you have like a 7-foot wing span and can reach both end of the screen at once. I'm going to contact amazon for a refund because this is not mentioned in the listing info. While it does technically extend to close to six feet, it is not practical at all to use for a six foot opening. (and unfortunately I didn't find this out until it was mounted and I drilled 8 holes in my wall.)

Question:	what is spacing between vertical bars
Answer:	The spacing between the bars is 2.5".
Question:	How does this gate open? Does it swing open
Answer:	This gate has a small hole that the gate fits into to close. To open you pull up slightly and the door can than be swung in either direction.
Question:	what is the hieght
Answer:	Just purchases two if these gates for my porch to confine my dogs. The gate is 27 1/2" high.The installed height will depend on how far off the floor you mount the brackets. I have Dachshunds and Chihuahuas so U mounted my low so they could not go under the gate. It is mounted 1 1/2" off the floor (or deck in this case). That now makes the installed height 29". If your dog is bigger, you will be able to raise the mounting brackets high enough that your dig cannot go under and not hopefully not jump over. So far very pleased with the gates. Only complaint is one of the set screws would not set as it was stripped.Hope this helps.

Answer:	It is strongest when it is in it's pentagon shape. If any angle isn't in a pentagon shape, it isn't sturdy. We make sure it stays in the strongest configuration, and our 1 year old pulls up on it with no problem.

Answer:	How is it possible that it's 35" wide when the item description says it's under 30"?

Answer:	Yes I can positively confirm this. I bought two of them and they go together. Though you absolutely need to have them at an angle to each other. Having them at 180 degrees or at a straight line causes stability issues.
Question:	If i put my baby and another baby in this, how long will it take for them to engage in an mma fight
Answer:	My twins are in it together daily and no mma yet... but there has been some face scratching. Does that count?
