Question:	If setting it up like the picture shown with the fire place, is there another way to mount it besides it being permanent
Answer:	We use the "Baby" Gate for our two standard poodles. We have not mounted it to the walls; instead, we use it as a stand alone fence to temporarily block off certain areas. We have it set up now as a kind of playpen for our 5 month old puppy to keep her confined while housebreaking and to keep her from eating our other dog's food at meal times. It works perfectly. We've been using it now for almost two years. Of course, it isn't as secure as it would be if it were attached to the walls, but we wanted something more portable to be used in various places.
Question:	is it free standing on carpet? i want to use this as barrier gate like an arch, does this product serve its purpose?fall when pushed by kids
Answer:	It was not mounted for a couple days and I had to secure it with bins on either side. It currently is wall mounted and I would not trust it around children. When I push on it, it has quite a bit of give (12 inches). I can push it and pull it which is probably putting a lot of stress on the wall screws. The only reason I am keeping it is because I have a 20lb mostly blind dog and not an active toddler.
Question:	will it handle chilren shaking the fence
Answer:	My son jumps up and down trying to shake the fence when he has temper tantrums. It holds up just fine. That said, ours is cable-tied down to rubber mats (link below). I highly recommend this solution, as in addition to shaking, many kids try to move the walls of these things and can move the entire pen around the room. Answer:	yes 2 can be connected. i have them connected to make a large enclosure, but it does move quite a bit.

Question:	extra disc
Answer:	You need a disc for each zone. All of the zones or locations should be set up at the same time. That way the dog learns that all of the zones are off limits. Smart dogs will test previous zones. Moving a single disc around will make the zones change for the dog. That will teach the dog to test them more often. I leave the collar on my dog most of the time. It will vibrate when she gets too close to an off limits zone. That way she has reinforcement to the zones even with distractions.
Question:	Is this collar too heavy for a 15 lb. cat? The "lite" version of the collar doesn't dissuade our cat
Answer:	I think it might be. The part that has the prongs is big. When I put it on our 100 lb dog, he always shakes his head to get the prongs on the bottom and comfortable for him.

Answer:	I would assume it works on most dogs as long as the dog dislikes high frequency sounds. The sound begins low and increases as the dog continues to walk within the area,

Answer:	Yes, it can. I don't think that the collar is unit specific, but rather picks up signals from any of the devices. I believe I bought the second collar through Amazon.

Question:	The specs says usuable up to 74" and i have a 65" opening, so the answers to these questions are different than what is says. Can someone pls clarify
Answer:	I'm not sure why there are varying answers to this, maybe the product changed? But mine requires two hands, you must push in and twist, then hold while you pull the gate open. To avoid this I twisted the knob and then shoved a thumbtack into the gap at the bottom of the knob, that works just fine for holding the knob in place.
Question:	I want to set this up against part of an existing fence that has slats my Shih Tzu can easily slip through. Will this work
Answer:	First the bottom, in my case -- and after a 'hack-y' fix that lasted another week -- now the top has broken. Doesn't look like a replaceable part -- I've spent a lot of time thinking on how I could "add some hardware" to simulate the missing clips. A shame - because I liked the gate, in concept. Definitely wasn't up to the abuses of regular use and an enthusiastic puppy.
Question:	If the space I need to block off is bigger then 80'' width, is it realistic to buy more then one and put them side by side? Thanks
Answer:	The gate latches to a wall catch plate that holds it while extended. If a baby pushes on the gate or falls on the gate while extended it will flex as the retractable roller does not lock in place. We use these gates as dog barriers and my dogs jump on them all the time, it will flex and then return to use position.
Question:	How wide is panel
Answer:	Be VERY cautious if you are buying this for a large opening. Yes it does extend to 70-71 inches (not 72)... however, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: you need to twist the knob on the left side of the screen before it retracts, and at the same time use your right hand to unhook the screen on the right side. This is a safety feature to make it hard for little kids to retract the screen, it makes it nearly impossible to use for a very large opening, unless you have like a 7-foot wing span and can reach both end of the screen at once. I'm going to contact amazon for a refund because this is not mentioned in the listing info. While it does technically extend to close to six feet, it is not practical at all to use for a six foot opening. (and unfortunately I didn't find this out until it was mounted and I drilled 8 holes in my wall.)

Answer:	Just have the dog wear the collar. I have two dogs 140 lb and about 50 lbs and they both wear a collar. I keep them out of my family room because I just want one room where they can't go and leave slobber or hair. This is a really great product

Currently, we do not have a wireless receiver collar which would also be compatible with any of our indoor/outdoor barrier units, due to the different technologies and methods of activation the systems use.

Answer:	While I cannot say absolutely it will work, the shorter contact probes are about 1/2" long and have no problem working on our 111 pound (very furry) Labradoodle. Actually after his first very mild static experience a couple years ago, just hearing the beeping tone is all that he needs to put the brakes on. The collar comes with another set of contact probes about 3/4" in length which should work on keeping the furriest of our best friends out of places we do not think they should be.

Answer:	We bought an extra one and it works fine with our dogs same brand collar, there is a little switch in that battery compartment, it just needs to be set to the same as the collar and the transmitter you already have I think

Answer:	No- almost all products, in general, are made to be compatible with only their own companies products to keep people from buying other brands- this system is no different. Question:	Can this be used outside for a deck
Answer:	I can say that it doesn't work with mine. I have both systems and the indoor pet barrier does not trigger the collar for the outdoor invisible fence. I don't think there's any way to try to change the frequency on the collar so that it would work. Someone else may have a different experience.

Answer:	Yes works great on a counter or a dresser when you lay it flat you get a wider diameter of range but you can definitely amount on a wall
