Question:	If setting it up like the picture shown with the fire place, is there another way to mount it besides it being permanent
Answer:	We use the "Baby" Gate for our two standard poodles. We have not mounted it to the walls; instead, we use it as a stand alone fence to temporarily block off certain areas. We have it set up now as a kind of playpen for our 5 month old puppy to keep her confined while housebreaking and to keep her from eating our other dog's food at meal times. It works perfectly. We've been using it now for almost two years. Of course, it isn't as secure as it would be if it were attached to the walls, but we wanted something more portable to be used in various places.
Question:	is it free standing on carpet? i want to use this as barrier gate like an arch, does this product serve its purpose?fall when pushed by kids
Answer:	It was not mounted for a couple days and I had to secure it with bins on either side. It currently is wall mounted and I would not trust it around children. When I push on it, it has quite a bit of give (12 inches). I can push it and pull it which is probably putting a lot of stress on the wall screws. The only reason I am keeping it is because I have a 20lb mostly blind dog and not an active toddler.
Question:	will it handle chilren shaking the fence
Answer:	My son jumps up and down trying to shake the fence when he has temper tantrums. It holds up just fine. That said, ours is cable-tied down to rubber mats (link below). I highly recommend this solution, as in addition to shaking, many kids try to move the walls of these things and can move the entire pen around the room. Answer:	yes 2 can be connected. i have them connected to make a large enclosure, but it does move quite a bit.

Answer:	Yes, you can turn them vertical instead of horizontal. Please see the product pictures as we've shown a picture of it being used.

Answer:	Yes, it does work for wall to banister. I actually use it for my pets as well. I have yet to find a place where the wall nanny doesn't hold up.
Question:	Can these be screwed to the wall? Looking for something to secure for the top of stairs with no stair rails for my 3 year old
Answer:	Yes, these can be secured to your wall with a screw. Use a #10 flat top 2 inch screw. There is a hole in it that allows for that. However, baby gate manufactures say to not use the gates at the top of stairs for safety reasons such as a kid or baby pushing on it and they fall down the stairs. Please read your gate manual for all safety precautions.
Question:	Will these work on bottom spindles? My other ones won't allow the gate to be close to the ground. Thanks
Answer:	Yes, that is why they are designed with a flat top and bottom. They are able to lie flush to the ground where most products have to raise the gate 1 inch off the ground in order to fit. Thanks.

Answer:	Thank you for your question. We do not offer the extension panels separately, only what comes with the gate is what the Gate is designed for, for safety.

Answer:	The Summer West End Safety Baby Gate is not recommended to be used outdoors because the gate has not been weather treated.
Question:	Does this size come in cherry and charcoal gray color
Answer:	YES
Question:	Can it be attached to a banister on either side
Answer:	Possibly but fyi, not happy with this gate and have used it at different. Opening widths. It starts to bow at the extra sections. Ended up having to us clamps to make it stronger and a bungee cord to lock it. Did not feel it was sturdy enough for my 2 year old granddaughter. She also figured the locking mechanism out very quickly.

Each side is altered with three pieces of wood secured by large screws which serves to clamp it down into place. I suppose you can use an actual wood clamp but that would look even more make-shifty. Pressure is created by screwing the wood pieces together so it’s not screwed into the wall at all. (Hopefully it won’t leave an indentation). I hope the video gives you an idea of what was done. The wood was placed at the upper-middle side of the door opening and the gate is secured by pushing the handle down securing it in place with a pressure mount, as you know. It works really well. In the video it look like I was struggling to remove it and put it back into place but I have arthritis in my hands pretty bad and that’s why I was struggling. It’s very simple to release the gate and put it back into place. I love this gate. We have another one downstairs in our kitchen that does not need adjusting. Anyway, I hope this helps you. Answer:	Hello! The hardware should come packaged with the gate at the time of purchase. Parts such as the template, hinges, screws, and wall cups are typically replaceable parts. Question:	The opening I want to mount this in is 44in. Will this gate fit with the hardware or does it only extend to 42in
Answer:	With hardware you might be able to make it work but, I am not sure how well will it lock. I have placed wood board over drywall side of my opening to mount hardware to. If it is short you can add nice peace of trim to make if fit.
