Answer:	It takes a little bit of time all four corners need to be loosened to remove then all four corners need to be retighten to be put back in place. If you just loosen it enough to remove then it shouldn't be that bad.

Question:	How wide are the rubber bumpers? I need them to fit on a narrow area (sliding door
Answer:	Be VERY cautious if you are buying this for a large opening. Yes it does extend to 70-71 inches (not 72)... however, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: you need to twist the knob on the left side of the screen before it retracts, and at the same time use your right hand to unhook the screen on the right side. This is a safety feature to make it hard for little kids to retract the screen, it makes it nearly impossible to use for a very large opening, unless you have like a 7-foot wing span and can reach both end of the screen at once. I'm going to contact amazon for a refund because this is not mentioned in the listing info. While it does technically extend to close to six feet, it is not practical at all to use for a six foot opening. (and unfortunately I didn't find this out until it was mounted and I drilled 8 holes in my wall.)

Answer:	We purchased the 130' hose. There is one spot in the hose that occasionally kinks when we are winding it onto the hose reel. Other than that, we have had no problems compared to other hoses we have had.

Answer:	It will probably come kinked (from the strapping used in the packaging). You can send it back. I sent my first one back, and my replacement was just as kinked when it arrived.

Question:	How wide is the gap between the slats? I have a super tiny dog
Answer:	I am pretty sure China. It is so small and I can't even use it
Question:	Is the latch child proof? Does it require more than 1 step to open? What steps need to be taken to open
Answer:	I'm not sure why there are varying answers to this, maybe the product changed? But mine requires two hands, you must push in and twist, then hold while you pull the gate open. To avoid this I twisted the knob and then shoved a thumbtack into the gap at the bottom of the knob, that works just fine for holding the knob in place.
Question:	Can this wood be stained
Answer:	First the bottom, in my case -- and after a 'hack-y' fix that lasted another week -- now the top has broken. Doesn't look like a replaceable part -- I've spent a lot of time thinking on how I could "add some hardware" to simulate the missing clips. A shame - because I liked the gate, in concept. Definitely wasn't up to the abuses of regular use and an enthusiastic puppy.
Question:	How Tall is this gate and can it extend to 108 inches
Answer:	The gate latches to a wall catch plate that holds it while extended. If a baby pushes on the gate or falls on the gate while extended it will flex as the retractable roller does not lock in place. We use these gates as dog barriers and my dogs jump on them all the time, it will flex and then return to use position.

Answer:	You have the option of using the easy quick release to open and move the gate but it does not have the handle/hinge for walk through like other gates. It's not so hard if you are taller with long legs. My 6ft sons step over easily. A 5'5" would struggle to try and step over.

Answer:	The space between slats is 2 inches making it virtually impossible for even Copperfield to escape. Bear in mind, if you are planning to use the little kitty door, a space of 30" or less makes the door inoperable. Also, there is no door for you to escape! The color is off white. I bought two and am very happy with them.

Question:	Just received this item today. The description states it is a package or two but only one was sent. Is the error in the description or the shipment
Answer:	I didn't measure the gap but I would guesstimate 3 to 4 inches. Hope this helps. If anything, you could always weave some shelf liner into the gate and secure with staples.
Question:	I need a "fence" in my garden. Not as a "fence" but for a fence for some plants to grow up on. Would this one work for that
Answer:	In my opinion, the latch is indeed child proof, and yes, there are 2 steps necessary. There is an "eye hook" at the bottom of the gate which must be fit into place to get it latched securely as well as a top lock, which must be pushed to fit in the lock attachment. I, as an adult, must push hard to connect this mechanism. I found once it is properly locked, it cannot be easily opened. Hope this helps, Lynn!
Question:	How deep are the feet for this fence? I have to put it on a step in a camper.... Also how much does it weigh
Answer:	yes, I would say it can be stained. It not did appear to have any varnish or any other coating on it. I painted mine since I use it on my covered front porch, so I can't tell you how stain turns out. The wood is very smooth and does not need any sanding. I took photos of where the hardware was mounted, took off the hardware, painted, and re-installed the hardware.

Answer:	The gate is just over 2 feet in height. It will definitely extend to 108 inches. I measured it last night before answering the question.

Expand and Lock

To install, begin by placing the gate in the opening where you would like to use it. Expand the gate by pushing the comfort curved handle so that all four side bumpers are in contact with the sides of the opening. Rotate the locking handle and insert the handle tab into the slot that gives enough tension to secure the gate.

Protect Your Surfaces

This gate has rubber bumpers positioned on all four corners of the gate frame. These bumpers protect the walls from scuffs while holding the gate securely in place. The bottom two bumpers are positioned higher than standard gates to accommodate molding up to 4" high.

Answer:	It depends on how determined they are to get over the gate. We have two Cavalier spaniels the largest 24 pounds and a yellow lab who is 65 pounds and none of them even try to jump over it. I can easily step over the gate which is nice. We are using it in our basement to keep the dogs out of the laundry room. You can pick it up easily and the sides will fold in if you want to move it out of the way. We really like them and bought 2 of them. The color is much lighter than pictured though. It is very nicely made and sturdy.

Question:	Is this sturdy enough to keep a baby from falling down stairs? When closed
Answer:	It really depends, honestly. I think it would keep mine from going down the stairs, but my kids are fairly “gentle” compared to some other kids I know. Some are complete cannonballs and are hard to stop with anything other than a proper door. The manufacturer does specify a distance to be installed away from the first stair, as the barrier has a little bit of slack in it, so if clearance is tight it may not do the job.

Answer:	Shipment. Same thing happened to me. Shipment of the second gate was sent promptly after their notification.

Answer:	I would say no. This is a pretty good expandable "gate" but I don't think it is heavy enough or stable enough to stand up with plants growing up on it. Just don't think it is strong enough for that.
Question:	Does this expand to 84" or do I need to purchase more
Answer:	Don't bother. I was expecting cheap Chinese trash, but this was worse. They literally fell apart within a few days. The box it came in would make a more effective physical barrier.
Question:	How small does it retract
Answer:	Depending on how small your pup is............It's about 3" where the strips are low and about 5 - 6 inches in the high opening. But I recommend that you purchase a different brand as this particular one is pure junk. Hope this helps. I went on line and looked for one like this but better constructed with better material and paid about $39.00. I had one of these from Garden Creations and it's really really flimsy.

Answer:	From the looks of this gate, that does not seem possible (kind of flimsy, especially when expanded) - I can't visualize it, but there are a lot of creative people out there.

Answer:	Yes, these can be secured to your wall with a screw. Use a #10 flat top 2 inch screw. There is a hole in it that allows for that. However, baby gate manufactures say to not use the gates at the top of stairs for safety reasons such as a kid or baby pushing on it and they fall down the stairs. Please read your gate manual for all safety precautions.
Question:	Will these work on bottom spindles? My other ones won't allow the gate to be close to the ground. Thanks
Answer:	Yes, that is why they are designed with a flat top and bottom. They are able to lie flush to the ground where most products have to raise the gate 1 inch off the ground in order to fit. Thanks.
