Question:	If setting it up like the picture shown with the fire place, is there another way to mount it besides it being permanent
Answer:	We use the "Baby" Gate for our two standard poodles. We have not mounted it to the walls; instead, we use it as a stand alone fence to temporarily block off certain areas. We have it set up now as a kind of playpen for our 5 month old puppy to keep her confined while housebreaking and to keep her from eating our other dog's food at meal times. It works perfectly. We've been using it now for almost two years. Of course, it isn't as secure as it would be if it were attached to the walls, but we wanted something more portable to be used in various places.
Question:	is it free standing on carpet? i want to use this as barrier gate like an arch, does this product serve its purpose?fall when pushed by kids
Answer:	It was not mounted for a couple days and I had to secure it with bins on either side. It currently is wall mounted and I would not trust it around children. When I push on it, it has quite a bit of give (12 inches). I can push it and pull it which is probably putting a lot of stress on the wall screws. The only reason I am keeping it is because I have a 20lb mostly blind dog and not an active toddler.
Question:	will it handle chilren shaking the fence
Answer:	My son jumps up and down trying to shake the fence when he has temper tantrums. It holds up just fine. That said, ours is cable-tied down to rubber mats (link below). I highly recommend this solution, as in addition to shaking, many kids try to move the walls of these things and can move the entire pen around the room. Answer:	yes 2 can be connected. i have them connected to make a large enclosure, but it does move quite a bit.

Question:	Will these work in my bedroom doorway
Answer:	Yes, you can turn them vertical instead of horizontal. Please see the product pictures as we've shown a picture of it being used.
Question:	Does this work for wall to banister? mostly for keeping pets from going upstairs
Answer:	Yes, it does work for wall to banister. I actually use it for my pets as well. I have yet to find a place where the wall nanny doesn't hold up.
Question:	Can these be screwed to the wall? Looking for something to secure for the top of stairs with no stair rails for my 3 year old
Answer:	Yes, these can be secured to your wall with a screw. Use a #10 flat top 2 inch screw. There is a hole in it that allows for that. However, baby gate manufactures say to not use the gates at the top of stairs for safety reasons such as a kid or baby pushing on it and they fall down the stairs. Please read your gate manual for all safety precautions.
Question:	Will these work on bottom spindles? My other ones won't allow the gate to be close to the ground. Thanks
Answer:	Yes, that is why they are designed with a flat top and bottom. They are able to lie flush to the ground where most products have to raise the gate 1 inch off the ground in order to fit. Thanks.

Answer:	Thank you for your question. The paint on this metal (steel) yard is powder coated, which is similar to home appliance coatings. It has been tested for toxins and lead content, and has passed rigorous testing and government standards for lead, VOCs, PVCs and other heavy metals content.
Question:	If this is used as one long gate, how many inches is it once assembled
Answer:	Thank you for your question. When used as a gated barrier, the Superyard is 144 inches wide.
Question:	Can you remove one panel and just use five panels? Can the gate be the last panel on the end or does it have to be the 2nd or 3rd panel
Answer:	We removed a panel to fit more closely to our fireplace. We also moved the "gate" panel to the end! It's easy!
Question:	What is the width of one panel
Answer:	Individually, each panel from connector to connector, is 25 3/4". But when you connect panels, the connector pieces of 1 panel overlap the connector pieces of the connecting panel and you lose width, so 2 connected panels is 50", 3 connected panels measure 74.5".

Answer:	Good morning Fredrick! We apologize for the delayed response. The Ready to Install Everywhere Gate is designed to be mounted and used with the gate at a 90 degree angle to the wall on both sides. We would not recommend using the gate at an angle.
Question:	What is the height from the top of the mounting hardware to the bottom hardware
Answer:	Good morning Megan! Each of the mounting bars is approximately 23.5" long. On the latch side, the mounting screws are approximately 14.25" apart. On the hinge bracket side, there are screws at 4 locations. There is one screw at the top, one screw at the bottom and the brackets in the center are approximately 13" apart.
Question:	Are the brackets on this gate too wide to drill both sides into studs
Answer:	The bracket holes are 2 5/8" center-to-center -- they are too wide for a single stud. The side that holds the gate also has two holes in the center, which you could locate into a stud and put the brackets into drywall on either side. The side which has the latch only does not have center holes.

Answer:	It depends on what color finish the dresser & changing table come in, which you should be able to see from the product code and/or manufacturer website. My Delta Canton crib was Dark Cherry (color code 604), which matched with the Delta Silverton dresser in Dark Cherry (also color code 604). I believe the Espresso / Espresso Cherry color code is 205 (I got this from the Delta website), so you can check if the dresser and/or changing table match if they have the same color name or color code. Espresso / Espresso Cherry looks like a more chocolate color, versus a more red-ish cherry color. Hope this helps!

Answer:	I bought this mattress "Safety 1st Heavenly Dreams White Crib Mattress" Product Dimensions: 52.5"L x 27.5"W x 5.5"H - Thickness: 5.5 inches. Answer:	Absolutely. The “cup” of the wall protector is wider than the “foot” on the gate that extends to it, however, it fits very securely and the gate is rock solid. We use it to keep our very active/very strong German Shepherd puppy in the kitchen and there is no chance of her knocking the gate over.

Question:	Once the hardware is mounted to the walls, how hard is it to remove the panels? We need a fence that can be up and down at various times
Answer:	Not very easy if you want to remove it completely because it's screwed into the walls (my setup). Continuously unscrewing and screwing it back in will lead to the holes wallowing out. You do have the option of removing everything but the two panels attached to the wall. The mechanism(s) on the panels that allow them to pivot can be completely removed allowing you to remove the gate portion. It's not ideal but it's probably better than ruining your walls by screwing and unscrewing the brackets. Depending on what you are mounting the gate to, you could probably put some permanent mounts in place in place allowing for easy removal on a regular basis.
Question:	Can the door on the gate be installed on either end or must it only be in the middle

Question:	I have a round stair banister on one end and drywall/wall on the other. Can this be screwed into the wall on one side and secured around the other
Answer:	These protectors go between the rubber foot of your tightening bolt and your wall/door frame. They protect the wall and help secure the gate when you tighten the bolts. They are not screwed into the wall, but they do not move when you tighten the gate. They work perfectly as they keep your gate from sliding. I have tried my gate with and without the mounts, but I always put the mounts back. I hope this answers your question.
Question:	Can someone provide the dimensions? my banister poles are 42 inches apart and 37 inches high. WIll this fit? thanks
Answer:	Yes, it does help stabilize the gate because the soft rubber backing grips the surface providing increased friction. However, the primary function is to protect your walls from pressure gate spindles. For increased stability you can also use a #10 flat top 2 inch screw to mount the Wall Nanny into your wall.

Question:	Could this gate be used for outdoors
Answer:	To answer Anonymous re outdoor use: I bought this gate (and also a slightly different North States gate as well, in a brown metal finish) to use in place of a screen door in my rental in order to let my cat see outside and get some fresh air. I have them both installed in the same door space (one lower, one upper) . The white one has been up about 2 months and the brown one about 9 months---and after a few months, both started to get slight rust stains at the bottom ledge where the slats are welded in. However, I haven't seen the older brown gate's rust get that much worse from month 3 to now (month 9), so I'm hoping that it won't turn into structural damage.The space they're in is slightly protected but does get afternoon sun, damp winds, and rain (though not much rain in this drought year)---I live in the SF Bay Area, in the cooler coastal part of the bay so there's a fair amount of humidity but no snow, sleet, etc. If I could go back in time I'd probably spray them with some kind of sealer before putting them up, but as it is I'll probably leave them up until I move again, and then perhaps recoat with a weather-resistant spray paint when I take them down (not that they're that hard to take down, but...I'm not that motivated to do it now!).If you're considering them for outdoor use, I'd give it a try but be aware that they aren't made for it, and will probably have issues (mine are still cosmetic at this point) sooner or later, depending on your climate.
Question:	Is the latch complicated enough that my toddler won't figure it out
Answer:	The latch for North States super gate is absolutely complicated enough so your toddler won't figure it out! You have to pull down the latch lock/catch while lifting the gate up at the same time to swing it open. A toddler will not be able to do this, which after using the gate for a week, I trust the safety and easy use of the gate!
Question:	Can a cat squeeze through the spacing of the bars, or could this work as a cat barrier
Answer:	No this does not work as a cat barrier. I have a very similar gate that works fine for the cat I'm trying to contain. But I have to go much higher as she can easily jump standard height. Even after I put anti-cat sticky tape on top rung she would climb it as evidenced by bits of fur on the tape. But that one worked. As I was installing this one with Mrs Sapphire inspecting, she waited till I was working on the second level and then just stepped through. After I sighed and stopped Mrs Sapphire from chasing Mrs April I got back measured. The bars on this gate are on 3 inch centers, the bars on the prior gate were 2.75 inch centers. The 2.75inch centers seem sufficient to deter 1year old energetic Mrs Sapphire, The 3 inch centers don't even slow her down.
Question:	Is the metal in the gate magnetic? I want to put a magnet on the wall to keep it open when needed
Answer:	Top and bottom rail are magnetic. My gate does not stay perfectly flush against the wall. It will stay open however, in either direction.

Answer:	That's what we did. we put the kit on a banister and screwed the gates, not the kit, to the wall on the other end. The second picture actually has two kits, if I remember correctly, the kit has materials for one banister only. I guess we had a beam under drywall because the construction was secure.
Question:	How strong is the gate when the panels are locked in place? Would they hold up to a good-sized bulldog pushing against it
Answer:	This is an adjustment for gates to attach to a banister not an actual gate. This provides stabilization. It fits Fits posts 2 3/4 to 3 5/8 inches which would be the width of a single post.

Answer:	It's a pretty generic setup. It should work with any type of gate that you screw into the wall. The product is basically a piece of wood you screw into the plastic clamps, then you screw your gate into the wood.

Question:	How do I contact seller I recurved a wall nanny with a missing rubber head
Answer:	It has plastic brackets attached to the gate/cage.
Question:	Has anyone removed it to see if "Wall Nanny" is now stamped on the wall
Answer:	Metal...very durable my Staffordshire/shepherd mix chews on it all the time and my 1 yr old twins shake and rattle all day...still sturdy after a year
Question:	The spindle o the gate is only 1”, is that too small to work with these
Answer:	In my opinion as long as you have it anchored securely to the wall they would. But the actual door of the gate would not. The latch is weak. And door opens easily. Also I thought I had mine anchored well- but screws pulled out easily.
Question:	Can you place it vertical instead of horizontal
Answer:	2-3 in
