Question:	Has anyone used this on a convertible crib? Our 13 mo old co-sleeps with us and want her in her own bed but she's a wild sleeper
Answer:	The rail is 43-inches long. When the crib is converted to a toddler or day bed it would probably work. But, it would depend on how the convertable crib was designed as some have built in guard rail.
Question:	Does the rail swing down to be flat against the base of the bed? The photo makes it appear as though it swings down, but may rest at an angle. Thanks
Answer:	The first response is correct, if the boxspring and frame are high enough off the ground the rail will swing down and lay flat. Just installed my sons this week and the bed and frame are super high so it lays flat w/ no issues. For reference the TOP of my box spring is 21in off the floor, this leaves a 2in gap between the floor and the rail when it is in the down position.
Question:	Will this work on a mattress which i placed directly on the floor without box spring
Answer:	No. The rail is held in place by a strap that goes under the mattress. at the end is a piece of plastic that forms a T with the strap. In other words, part of the plastic sticks up, and part sticks down. this keeps the rail from slipping. If you put the mattress on the floor, the "T" wouldn't be in a proper position and wouldn't hold it. I think you're going to need a box spring for it to work properly.
Question:	I have a bunk bed that has at least a dozen wooden slats but no boxspring or plywood piece. Would it work for me
Answer:	This bedrail will only work "properly" for a bed with mattress and a boxspring. It will also work for any other bed like wooden beds but you wont be able to pull it down to the side of the bed. Just keep it upright all the time. The thing is the main frame of the bed on the side will prevent you from folding the bedrail down. If the wooden bed has slats, just tie the two supporting part of the bedframe to two corresponding slats, You may use a packaging tape to tape it in place.

Answer:	I used it on our day bed and it worked just fine. It fit tightly, and our 3 year old grandson was safe and secure in the bed.
Question:	How easy is the swing down function? Is it in the way for changing sheets/mattress pad? I would be using it for a child who is not yet potty trained
Answer:	The swing down function isn't necessarily easy, but I think the way it is designed is the easiest way it can get while still being secure. It has two flip up/down locks on either end of the rails. Flipping the locks can be done with one hand, but you can really only do one at a time. The rail doesn't really get in the way when changing the sheets, although it is best to flip the rail down when doing so. When properly installed, I feel very sure that my daughter will not roll off the bed, or that the device would fail; it feels very sturdy. We are using it on a full size mattress and there is a gap in between the footboard and the end of the rail big enough for an adult to sit on the edge of the bed while the rail is up. So our daughter can also climb on and off the end of the bed while the rail is up. This doesn't pose a risk for us being that our daughter doesn't roll much at night. I am not sure as to how this bed rail would effect the not yet potty trained child. Either way, I definitely recommend this product.
Question:	Has anyone actually used this on a king sized bed and can confirm it works without issue and is secure
Answer:	I'm surprised to see responses saying this fits a king sized bed. The straps on the one I purchased in April 2018 are clearly too short. This would work for a queen or smaller, but no way will it fit a king. Perhaps the manufacturer changed the strap size within the past year or two. Odd that they would do that. I have to return the product.

Answer:	I don't think you can..it's made to just slide under the mattress on top of box spring and the weight of mattress holds it down. It does hold steady. I've had mine for months for my 2 almost 3 year old wild sleeper and it's been great.

Answer:	No, they are held together by a "ribbon" underneath the mattress and can easily come away from the mattress and have to be tightened again. My two year old (almost 3) likes to kick them and I constantly have to tighten them again. Not strong enough to hold an adult pulling on them

Answer:	No.
Question:	I don't want these on the bed all of the time. Can rails be easily removed between use with grandkids
Answer:	Yes they can, very easily! We never even connected the two under the mattress like it recommends. The weight of the bed typically holds it in place very well. Upon removal, the legs even collapse and I simply slid the entire mechanism in between the mattresses for storage. They have been a fantastic security measure for our boy. Because he is wild!
Question:	How critical are the straps to the function of the rails? Are the metal arms secured under the mattress to stabilize the rails

Answer:	One pillow, 5 inches.
Question:	With a 6" mattress that has a 2" foam topper, would a 12" depth fitted sheet work with this or should i get a 14" fitted sheet
Answer:	I would say a 14” or higher so u have some extra that you can tuck. Obviously, it’s not going to fit snug because the bumpers are under the fitted sheet so you will need extra. Hope this helps :-)
Question:	Can this be placed at the foot of the bed
Answer:	It is too long to placed at the foot of a standard sized toddler bed. This takes up the entire length of the long side of the mattress. If it is a queen size it would likely work at the foot of the bed.
Question:	How do you keep it from sliding off
Answer:	Place the bumper under the fitted sheet. There is like a rubber non-skid surface in the bottom that keeps it from sliding under the sheet. Works very with staying in place with my wiggly granddaughter.
