Answer:	It’s definitely not flimsy wood. Not sure the type but I’ve had mine now for about 3 years and it’s still holding up strong! Would definitely recommend it if you are looking for something in this price range. Lots of pieces to put together but I did it all myself when I was 7 months pregnant.

Answer:	The interior width on the two top drawers are 15 and 1/4 inches for each one. The interior width on the two larger drawers are 33 and 1/2 inches.
Question:	Is the back particle board
Answer:	the back-side of this unit is comprised of two different materials. the bottom half is a dense/heavy particle board (actually double-thick, adhered together) that's inset, fastened to the inside of each of the dresser's side pieces. it's much heavier than the other pieces that make up the dresser (possibly combined,) and functions to stabalize the rear when the drawers are loaded with clothes (or what have you,) and extended to their open position. as the particle board encloses only the bottom half of the dresser's rear, a thin panel of hardboard is attached to the upper half (slightly overlapping the particle-board lower half) to complete the enclosure. this panel recesses into routed grooves along the rear-most edges of the dressers sides and top, so that all pieces come together flush, rather than exposed hardboard egdes protruding off of the back.i'm a bit of a furniture snob, and usually think "cheap" when there's particle board or hardboard involved, but i'm very pleased with the design and how this dresser comes together. on top of being recessed within the real-wood body of the dresser, both pieces that make up the rear enclosure are covered in a thin laminate that's the same color as the rest of the dresser (at least on the light grey model.) this lamination and hiding the vulnerable edges gaurds those components from liquid spills running off the surface, which would otherwise cause swelling or warpage. several fasteners around the top, bottom, and side edges of the hardboard backing should also prevent any droop or buckling that you may see on cheap box-store dressers. another consideration are the drawer bottoms that are also hardboard. below these panels are wooden support slats that run front to rear on each drawer, but i'm guessing the hardboard will eventually begin to buckle from the weight of the dresser's contents. if/when that becomes an issue, the hardboard can easily be replaced with 3 ply. it may be worth investing in such an upgrade at initial assembly, but i was rushing to get a nursery together before a baby arrived.use wood glue on the doweled joinery when you assemble and you'll have a very sturdy piece, regardless of the manufactured stock on this dresser. for it's affordability, there's a lot of real wood here.
