Question:	Is there an expiration date on the clay
Answer:	I am not sure about this, but as long as the package with the clay is closed, it should be good for a long time.
Question:	What dimensions are the clay (impression material) rectangles
Answer:	You create the shape. The clay is kneaded, rolled out, and shaped by you.
Question:	How large are the areas for the clay? I already have clay handprints and footprints so I want to know if they will fit
Answer:	Frame holds - Photo insert holds one 4" x 6" photo. Frame measures 16.5"W x 9.5"H x 1.4"D, and the three inserts are equal, so the Hand or Feet Prints should be around 4X6 inches to fit in the frame. Hope this helps!
Question:	Can you paint the clay and if so what kind do I use
Answer:	I did not paint mine, but after it dries I don't see that it would be a problem. I'm not sure what kind of paint you should go with. The other suggestion I do have is to make sure you use glue to put in on the back drop because mine fell of the sticky material that it comes with.

Knead Clay

Knead clay well for 3-5 minutes this ensures the oils are evenly mixed. Don't put the clay down on any surface because it will pick up dirt and lint.

Fill and Smoothen Clay

Place the round clay ball into the large section of the picture frame. Use the palm of your hand and gently spread out the clay, make sure the clay fills up the entire space even the corners. Use the rolling pin or a mug and gently roll until the surface of the clay is evenly smooth. Make sure there are no minor cracks on the surface.

Handprint and Footprints

Press the baby's hands and feet gently but firmly into the clay and make sure to leave room for the Interior frame/divider. Use a pair of scissors to separate the letter pieces. Assemble the letters to the handle and engrave the baby's name and/or birth date in the clay.

Assembly and Display

Question:	I would like to do a three year old and 8 month together. What if they keep moving, will it ruin the mold
Answer:	Well I did a 1 year old and twins that were 4 at the time together. The mold came out good. The thing that I recommend is to have help.. and to have at least the young eat one asleep while doing it. It will make things come out perfectly if both are asleep. No stress or crying at least u will know the mold would come out nice that's what counts.. The rest ( plaster) is all on up to u how the final project comes out.. good luck. - products works fast -

Answer:	Unfortunately not:( from experience, making 25 hands, it is 1 bag of mix per adult hand. I would say it may take 3-4 bags to accomplish what you need. Good luck!
Question:	Can anyone tell me what ratios of water to gel, and water to "stone" to use? We have a kit w/o instructions, and they aren't on the website. Thx
Answer:	The instructions say: - 7 cups COLD water to 1 bag precious gel. Stir until it turns pink,for 20-30 seconds, do not delay, it hardens very fast. Put your hand in it for at least 2 minutes until it hardens and turns white. - stone: set aside 1-2 tb spoons of stone for imperfections later on. Mix 2 1/2 cups cold water to 5 cups stone (1 bag precious stone)Stir slowly until smooth. Fill the mold in small increments with a spoon. Gently tap along the way to bring air bubbles to the surface. Wait 24 hours before taking it out of the mold.
Question:	can this do 2 adults hands clasped together
Answer:	NO... not without your hands touching the sides or bottom. In the middle of it, I had to pull our hands out, pour it into a bigger and deeper container and do it. As it is, there wasn't enough plaster (precious stone) to fill it. Buy 2, use a deeper, larger container. I just wasted $45

Answer:	You get one sheet of stock paper and one shot at their prints turning out. My boys’ handprints were smeared but still looks ok

Answer:	Hello, Correct, you have to take off both sides of the protective plastic, we put it to take care and not scratch the frame. Simply detaching it from both sides will be perfect. Any other question, let us know!

Remove everything from the packaging and place in a surface. Add a few drops of water if the inks feel a bit dry.

Get some pieces of paper so you can try your first prints before using the final fine art paper that comes inside the frame.

BE PATIENT

Gently press baby’s hand or foot down on the ink. If the foot or hand is bigger then try vertically using the ink square and pressing first the middle part of the foot against the ink pad, then the other part until you get the entire foot covered.

Some babies are more restless than other babies. So try it while the baby is sleeping or clam.

TRY OUT PAPER

Use first the pieces of paper you have at home to do your first try outs before using the final fine art paper that comes inside the frame. Press foot or hand firmly against the paper.

Answer:	Yes. The footprint was barely visible, so I got some soft multi-surface acrylic paint and painted the inside of the baby's foot and handprint only, leaving the rest white, much like the picture on the front of the tin.

Answer:	The tin is only 6 inches in diameter so your childs hand or foot would have to be smaller than that to be able to fit the print into the keepsake tin.

Question:	Will this be appropriate for a 1 year old? Not sure if she could hold the pose long enough
Answer:	If you press firmly and hold it until she can't stand it ..you may get a faint mark of a hand. Agree that it's too dry and firm (although very light) to get a good print. I was personally disappointed with the results. I had to purchase self-drying clay (two different types at Walmart) before finding one that captured all the details of adorable little hands (I also did his feet).
Question:	In the picture it shows the footprint bumped out. How is that done with this kit
Answer:	Dear Amazon Customer,It is actually an optical illusion. We do realize that in some glances it might look out, but the footprint is stamped in and not out. Best,The Baby Mushroom Team
Question:	I have a 6 & 9 year old. Can I use 1 kit to make a hand impression for them both
Answer:	no. I used 1 kit to make a handprint for my 7 year old with a little plaster left over. There is not enough material for 2 larger handprints. You need a bowl or something to make the circle. The circle cutter included in the kit is not big enough for a 6 or 9 year old's hand. I didn't like the product much but everything else out there is similar. Hope this helps.
Question:	How many kits would i need for a family plaque? Single handprints for 2 adults, a 4yr old, 3yr old and nb
Answer:	Each adult would need their own kit so would your 4yr old. You could split a kit between your 3yr old and NB.

Question:	How long does it take to dry
Answer:	3 or 4 days fully. Keep it air tight for 24 hrs then air dry out of sun.
Question:	Is this clay high-quality and sophisticated enough to make an artsy-fartsy sculpture with it
Answer:	Not really and I don’t think it dries slow enough to do art. You don’t fire it. There’s only enough to fill the space flat to do the impressions. It’s great for what it does, though. Mine still look perfect 2 years later.
Question:	Do you have to press hard on thr clay? Is it a easy mold for newborns or not acceptable
Answer:	I did this with a 7 month old and did not have to press that hard. He didn't mind it. You might want two people with the new born and press down each finger individually.
Question:	Is the clay brittle once it dries? I wonder if I would be able to ship the keepsake internationally without it breaking
Answer:	No
