Answer:	The current packaging (received 12/9/19) has no Proposition 65 warning, and the Amazon listing doesn't mention it outside of a few reviews and customer questions like this one. Nothing on the manufacturer website either. I would assume they've removed whatever substance it was.

Answer:	I just bought these spoons (not through Amazon) and I faced this exact problem, so I was looking if someone else encountered it. In my opinion the weight distribuion of the spoon is the problem. It’s too heavy on the far end and this causes the spoon to tip over when left inside of a small container. It’s absolutely annoying when using it directly from a Gerber’s “Sitter 2nd Foods” container. I had to put a plate on the side just to sit the spoon, but even then you can’t leave food on it because it won’t stay put. I would never rate these spoons with 5 stars.
