| Answer: | My senior also had bad teeth. I had my vet remove the bad teeth (nearly all of them except the canines). I read about how to feed a cat with very few teeth and it says many cats prefer to prehend (swallow kibble whole, using their tongue like a shovel) rather than eat wet food. My cat is like this. My cat also was recently diagnosed with thyroid disease and I have to give him felimazole pills twice a day. He started dropping weight and not eating well. He is 18 years old. I spent nights reading about what cat food to give him. This food got such great reviews I tried it and he now LOVES IT and is eating it and is really coming back to life! This food lives up to everything they say. I mixed it with his old food to get him used to it slowly. Right off the first day, he looked better. Just sharing this story to let you know how important it is to get rid of any infected teeth and then many cats do not like the texture of wet food and will prefer to prehend dry kibble, like my cat. The kibbles in 11+ are small and easy for him to eat. This food has been a blessing to us. Also I have read that many cats who have been on canned food all their lives tend toward thyroid disease in later years due to all the bad stuff in the can linings. So I am sticking with Adult 11+ dry cat food only, and feel so grateful to see my siamese coming back to life and looking like his old self again. Get those infected teeth out and start from there. They will cause your cat a lot of pain and possible infection, if you don't. Good luck, and I hope your cat loves this food as much as mine does! |

| Answer: | It is a hard dry kibble, but it is a very small kibble made to be easier for older cats to eat. That was one of the things I really liked it about it when I was feeding it to my cat. My cat did not have a hard time eating it and she has had a harder time with some bigger kibbles. Unfortunately, she got tired of it as older cats can sometimes become pickier eaters. |
