Answer:	I am not sure, unfortunately I returned mine because once the opening mechanism gets filled with water there is no way to reach ti and clean it and it grows mold. I washed them every day, tried boiling, vinegar... defect in the design. My son loved them, it was hard to let them go...

Answer:	My 3 year old has oral issues and had a very hard time learning to suck from just a normal straw and had no issues with these cups. I agree with Trisha though, its important to put them together correctly, the part of the top of the straw that bends should be facing outward (away from the hinge of the lid). There is no seal to the straw like munchkin weighted straws or those similar to them so I'm not sure why others have issues. Perhaps people are putting the straw in backwards and when the child tries to bend it the wrong way it doesn't allow the liquid to come up. We've completely switched over to these cups.

Answer:	Good afternoon Debra, The spouts on the Munchkin Click Lock Bite Proof Sippy Cups, 9oz are not hard spouts. The spouts are silicone.

Answer:	I don't think so... you literally have to bite the mouth piece to get any fluid to come out so in my opinion these are not good cups. Your little one will associate drinking with biting so that if you use any other cup they are basically guaranteed to get torn up. My little guy couldn't get any of the drink out. I threw the cups away and basically wasted money on them.

Answer:	If you screw the lid on correctly, it will not leak. It only leaks completely upside down, and very slowly. My toddler sleeps with his cup all the time with no issues. I just make sure to tip it to make sure I put the lid on correctly.
Question:	My 5 year old likes to drink water in bed. We always used the take and toss...would this be okay for him? Can you take the valve out for faster flow
Answer:	You can take the valve out but if your 5 yr old knocks it over it will spill. They are very sturdy though and the valve is good material. I hand wash all my valves so they keep longer.

Answer:	Because the cups are No-Spill, the flow is slow. It does depend on how hard someone sucks.

Answer:	Yes, they do!
Question:	Does the plastic spout peel after repeated biting
Answer:	After three months, the spout shows no real sign of peeking or damage. Although my child doesn't vigorously chew on her cup. There are very small marks, like a tooth mark. The plastic doesn't seem the type to peel and so far no cracks or breaks. (My child tends to throw the cups down on the floor from the table).
Question:	Can these cups be steamed? I use a steaming sterilizer to kill germs in baby bottles. Is that possible with these

Question:	Where can I get replacement straws
Answer:	We have 3 and 2 of them click and lock easily, while 1 will never fully click and lock, no matter how much force is used. I think it’s a defect in some of them. It doesn’t leak despite this, so we haven’t worried about it.
Question:	Is the flow rate similar to a regular straw or is it difficult to suck water through these straws
Answer:	Holy moly...I had removed the plastic covering the top of the straw. But I had this same issue until I came here and read the comment about there being a second cover on the actual weighted part in the cup. Removed that and presto! Happy toddler.
Question:	Is this cup Microwave safe
Answer:	No
Question:	Do you have to bite on or just suck on straw
Answer:	My husband studied this and we can't fix it. If you can tell your toddler to blow into the straw before they set the cup down, liquid shouldn't come out the top of the straw. But, a toddler can't remember to do that and he'll set the cup down and there will be a milk or juice mess under it in a few minutes. I got fed up and threw ours away.

Answer:	Hello and thank you for your question on The First Years Soft Spout Sippy Cups. The best way is to pull the spout from the inside of the lid from where the spout connects to the lid. It’s going to take some force since it fits quite snugly in there to prevent any leaking.
