It has definitely happened to others -- even after careful instruction to the child -- and you'd would be wise to cover the spokes. You could DIY this pretty easily or ask your local bike shop for recommendations of manufactured solutions. I don't remember any brand names of the ones I've seen. |

| Answer: | i put this seat on my vespa scooter and have found that it will hold my friend that weighs in at 250 lbs. it will depend mostly on your bikes rack over your rear fender. the more that will handle the seat will take the same. you may need to adjust the possition of the brackets on this seat to fit your bike properly but all in all, i reajy like mine. |
