Question:	How many times can the water bottle be refilled before having to change the filter
Answer:	I am not sure about the technical details of removing particles. What this does in my opinion is absorb the “smell” of the water so it can taste better. I see it like those lava rocks people buy to put in their bathroom to absorb odors and have to refresh it in sunlight so the smells can expand and escape. Still skeptical as I just bought it recently. I can tell you that i can taste the difference from tap water vs a filter pill inside my water bottle left overnight.

Answer:	I have had this rack for 6 years now and I have always put it in the dishwasher and it did fine. However, recently I noticed the plastic is starting to degrade - little plastic chips and plastic dust rubs off of the posts. That is probably partially due to dishwashing and the fact that mine is sitting on a window sill in direct sun. But for whatever it’s worth, I got 6 years of use out of it.
