Answer: Mine are about 18 inches by 11 inches and they have been washed lots of times and dried.

Answer: These would not be ideal as a cloth diaper insert because they are too bulky. A little thin for use as diaper with just a cover, you would actually probably want to use an insert under it (I like the Charlie Banana ones for absorbance and ease of clean up) and a water proof diaper cover over it.
