Answer:	I wouldn’t recommend this for that young. A convertible rear facing seat would be best. LOVED the Chicco NextFit for my kids at that age. It is recommended to keep kids rear facing to at least 2 years old and as long as possible / up to the weight limit of a rear facing car seat (much longer than 27lbs and 16 months).

There are 2 level to ground lines on the shell of the seat used to determine proper angle for installation. For a child between 5 - 22 lbs the bottom level line on the shell must be parallel with the ground, having the seat fully reclined. For children 22 - 40 lbs who can sit up unassisted, you may rotate the seat between the two level lines for a more upright position. • DO NOT lubricate or immerse in water any part of this child restraint, unless rinsing is permitted
• Plastic and metal parts may be wiped clean with mild soap and water and dried with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

• The harness can be wiped clean with mild soap and water. Allow harness to air dry.
• Machine wash the seat pad separately in cold water, delicate cycle. Tumble dry 10 to 15 minutes on low heat.
• Periodically inspect and clean the restraint's crotch buckle of food, liquids, and other debris to ensure proper latching. Answer:	Just wanted to clarify one thing... the weight limit for all latch systems is not necessarily 65 lbs. Our current carseat has a max weight of 65 lbs, but only of 45 lbs. if used with the latch system. So, I can use the carseat until my kid is 65 lbs IF I use install it with the seatbelt, but if I use the latch system to install, the kid's weight maxes out at 45 lbs. Our pediatrician explained that the reason for this is that the latch system is sufficient for 45 lbs in the case of an accident. If you install the carseat with a seatbelt, the seatbelt takes part of the force, so the child can weigh more than 45 lbs. Similar thing with a booster seat: With a booster seat, the seatbelt takes on part of the weight of the child rather than the latch system entirely holding onto the weight of the child + seat. I realize I don't actually have an answer to the question (I was looking through the Q&A with the same question in mind). But saying a carseat can use the latch system up to 65 lbs. is incorrect and could be dangerous in an accident, so I wanted to add this "answer."
