For our newborn we use a regular car seat with a click connect base. So we can pull the whole seat out say for example if you are going to the store or anywhere else unless you want to hold baby the whole time. |

Check your local laws, department of transportation or .gov sites will tell you what’s acceptable. This car seat is awesome and simple to install. My child is 27 lbs. rear facing for as long as possible. Protect the head and spine, those are the most important. |
