Question:	Do these products off gas/smell horrible when you open them
Answer:	Nothing prevents the NIKO from being used on a rear facing car seat. But typically most rear facing car seats are smaller than when the child is big enough to face forward. So the NIKO - which was created for a universal fit after testing on over 25 different forward facing car seats - may not fit as well as when the child and seat have become large enough. Plus, the NIKO was designed primarily for 2.5 to 6 year olds: a child's messiest stage!
Question:	What if you have cloth seats
Answer:	YES it would help! The bottom portion is waterproof and it would for sure make cleanup easier vs. not having it! I would recommend the “milky” one (the one I have) because it’s thicker and won’t soak through as easy in the non waterproof areas. If that makes any sense! If your kid gets sick on it, it’s very easy to just pull off and throw in the wash. Trust me it really helps with kids that get carsick. It may not be a perfect solution and you may get a tiny bit that goes through on your car seat, but it sure does REALLY help. 100% worth the money for us. When my kid got sick on the cover there was a tiny little spot where it soaked though to our car seat but it was not a big deal and I wiped it with dish soap and a wet rag. It was so much easier than having to take the whole cat seat cover off my car seat!
