This is too long for the birth, it will get in the way and soiled. Choose something much shorter, they have options of modest gowns like this one that unbottom on sides of armholes for skin to skin and that unbottom up the back for delivery access to baby (should you birth on knees or something). This is what I wear directly after birth once I change my delivery gown. Lots of modest coverage, the black won’t show blood or stain from it, and it’s soft and airy but no support shelf, which is what I prefer right after birth and recovery period.
