Answer:	Yes it’s fine to leave on while in the car. I do unzip it when I get her in the car though. I think it’s warm enough for winter if you aren’t going too far in the cold. I have used it going in and out of stores and my baby has had regular clothes and a fleece jacket on underneath the cover.

I have a Beanie on and I put the headlamp on the Beanie---and the adjustable band stays put on the headful of hair with a Beanie cap on---perfectly well. I would recommend this for anyone older than 5 years old. The child might think the headlamp is a toy and treat it like one---you don't want them putting it in their mouths or banging it around, would you? It's best to stay safe.
