Answer:	If you are referring to the current price shown (S$368.xx) compared to NTF3000 (S$198.xx), that is largely due to the current inflicted pricing. When I bought it in late January 2020, it was in fact cheaper than NTF3000. Prior to COVID-19 pandemic, the price was just marginally higher than NTF3000. BNT400 (aka '3-in-1 No Touch' in USA) has additional feature which is calibrated for different age group. Furthermore, it's sensor is likely to be different than NTF3000 hence it is capable to detect food and bath water temperature rather accurately. From an industrial terminology, what that means is that the thermoscan is capable to switch between different 'Nominal Surface Emissivity' (human body NSE is different from food/water NSE which is 0.93). NTF3000 likelihood does not have the ability to switch between NSE, hence cheaper. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The batteries are not rechargeable from what I have read. Once the battery dies, you can replace it with the extra battery they supply in the package for you. The battery should last for 200 hours of actual use.

Answer:	There is nothing special to do...you turn it on, you stick it in your mouth (under your tongue) and when you hear the beep you take it out. If you have turned it on, can see a readout, put it in your mouth under your tongue and it never beeps I would think you have a defective thermometer as mine beeps just fine.

Answer:	Mine kept saying 97.6. This is what I figured out. 1) Look at the LCD display and push the measurement button, it will turn red and then you should hear a couple of quick beeps. 2) Now turn it around and take your temp. Make sure the face shows on the display. It has been working fine now.

Question:	Does it measure in degrees Celsius
Answer:	Yes, it certainly does. To change units on your thermometer, press the ON/OFF button twice in rapid succession while the thermometer is turned on. To change the units used in the app, click on the “Menu” icon and select the “Settings” icon. An icon will be displayed to indicate which mode the thermometer is in. Touch the icon to switch modes. Question:	What’s the best way to clean this so not to damage the thermometer if sharing amongst the family
Answer:	You can clean the probe before and after use with a damp, soapy cloth or by disinfecting it with rubbing alcohol (70% isopropyl alcohol). Then, just wipe it dry with a soft cloth and you'll be all set! We hope that helps. :-)
Question:	Do you have to use the smart phone app to read the temp
Answer:	The Kinsa QuickCare smart thermometer can take and show temperature readings on its own, BUT there are some things you should know if you don't want to use any smart features. Out of the box, QuickCare shows "APP" on the display. This prompts you to connect with the Kinsa app before it will let you take readings. In a pinch, you can temporarily skip this APP message and take readings immediately by quickly double pressing the button. Medication

Get medication dosage guidance and reminders when it’s time to take meds so you never forget, take too little or too much. This feature is especially helpful when a fever is high and your doctor recommends alternating between medications.

Important Tips for All Temperature Readings

• Always wait for three flashing lines on the display before every reading. Wait at least 15 minutes to take a reading after eating, drinking, exercising or bathing.
• If you or your Kinsa were outside on a cold day, wait until you are used to the new temperature before taking a reading.
• A person’s body temperature will fluctuate depending on the time of the day. The best method to determine your own normal temperature is to record it twice a day (early morning and late afternoon) when feeling well. The average of the two is considered your normal body temperature.

Underarm Readings

Wipe armpit with a dry towel and make sure that no clothes are in the way. Place the thermometer probe in the armpit and keep your arm pressed firmly against the body. In general, a normal underarm temperature is considered 35.8°C - 37.2°C (96.5°F - 98.9°F). Also, please note that underarm readings are typically 0.6°C (1°F) lower than oral readings; this is perfectly normal. The Kinsa app automatically takes underarm readings into account when calculating the severity of the fever, but it does not artificially add that 0.6°C (1°F) to the temperature reading.

Oral Readings

For oral readings, always place the probe tip of the thermometer in your mouth’s heat pocket - under the tongue at the back of the mouth. Keep your mouth closed while the temperature reading is being taken. The temperature in one spot of the mouth can be very different from another so always put the probe tip in the same heat pocket for every reading. A normal oral temperature is considered 36.1°C - 37.7°C (97.0°F - 99.9°F).

Rectal Readings

Consider applying a bit of petroleum jelly on the QuickCare tip to make it easier to insert. Place your baby on a firm surface, either on her stomach or back, with legs lifted up to the chest (think diaper-changing position). Insert the probe tip about ½ inch inside the rectum. Never insert the probe past the metal tip. Stop if you meet any resistance. Hold QuickCare between two fingers while keeping your hand cupped around your baby's bottom (you might need to squeeze the cheeks together to hold it in place). Remember, rectal temperatures tend to be about 0.3°C (0.5°F) higher than oral and 0.6°C (1°F) higher than underarm readings. In general, a normal rectal temperature is considered 36.4°C - 37.9°C (97.5°F - 100.3°F). If you'd like to verify your results, be sure to wait 5 minutes first for the most accurate second reading.

How to get accurate reading temperature?

1.Make sure the position of the measurement is correct, don’t measure the place which is near to eyebrows, just away 1- 2 inch from center of forehead

2.Please don’t press the forehead or surface for long time(more than 5s) to measure multiple temp, the temperature measured will be lower, that will lead to inaccurate reading.
