The large, easy-to-read 1.2-inch LCD display is front-facing so reading the weight is a breeze. Also, for added accuracy with small children, the scale weighs in half-pound increments up to 60 pounds. Calibration is a snap with a "zero out" feature that allows you to adjust for the weight of clothing or a diaper. This scale is powered by a replaceable nine-volt battery (not included), includes a growth chart to track height and weight against national averages, and it is backed by a five-year limited warranty.

Operating the Scale

Place the scale on flat, level surface. A hard surface, such as a tile or linoleum floor, is the best for maximum accuracy. If the scale is placed on a soft, deep rug, then it may not produce accurate results. Once the scale is placed on an appropriate surface, press On/Off and wait for the display to show zeros. If the display shows "0:0", the scale is set to pounds/ounces; if the display shows "0.00" the scale is set to kilograms/grams. Press the lb/kg button to select between pounds or kilograms.

The scale can be operated with or without the tray. When using the tray, make sure that it is securely locked into place before placing your baby on the scale. Simply lay your baby on the tray and read the display. To use the scale without the tray, you'll need to remove the tray by turning the locking nut clockwise. The tray is replaced by four rubber plugs and a supplied plastic cover tab. Once the cover is in place, hold your baby upright on the scale, and place the baby's feet so that the weight is evenly distributed. Of course, everyone knows that a baby rarely holds still. Health o Meter has an answer. If your child is moving, press the "Hold" button to lock in the correct weight. This function displays the baby's average weight for the time period.

Question:	I can't get a steady reading of my 13 month old's weight. He isn't totally walking yet, but should I just try to sit him directly on the scale
Answer:	I was using for kittens. You stand sit or otherwise place the object to be weighed on the scale. If the child cannot stand still & steady long enough to get a good weight, sitting is your best option.
Question:	Could you please tell me about maximun capacity (Kg) and sensibility (gr). 25Kg and 5g respectively
Answer:	According to the manual, the scale will weigh up to 60 pounds ( 27 kilos). As for minimum weight, probably 1 pound. It does measure fractions of a pound as well. As for sensibility, it is not going to be fine tuned. If you are looking at anything more accurate that probably 1/10 of a pound, this would not be your scale. It does fine for our kitties which weigh from 11 pounds to 18 pounds.
Question:	How's the accuracy of this scale
Answer:	This scale has been very accurate in my experience. When I first got it, I put two 3 lb weights on there and it weighed exactly 6 pounds. I bought this to keep track of what my baby weighed (born at low birthweight and had trouble keeping weight on early on). My child is now over a year old and every time I go to the doctor, the weight they get is within just a couple of ounces of what I get at home. I would recommend this for it's accuracy and ease of use.

Grilled Honey Dijon Pork Tenderloin with New Potatoes from At Home with Natalie

This is a low-fuss meal you can make in about 30 minutes, though I do recommend letting the pork marinate for the deepest flavor and tenderness. It’s a good one for when you have company over, as you can prep it all before your guests arrive, then throw the tenderloin on the grill and the potatoes and green bean foil packs either in the oven or on the grill, and that’s all.

Directions

Make the marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, mustard, honey, green onion, garlic, thyme, oregano, rosemary, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Set aside in the refrigerator. Bring to room temperature and whisk again before using.

Marinate the pork: Season the pork with salt and pepper and place in a large resealable plastic bag. Add three-quarters of the marinade (reserving the last quarter for the green beans and potatoes) and marinate the pork in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Heat a grill to medium-high, about 400°F. Preheat the oven to 450°F (if you’re using the oven method for the vegetables).

Put the beans and potatoes in a covered microwavable dish with 2 tablespoons water. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Remove and let sit until cool, with the lid still on, to allow them to steam. Drain any liquid out of the dish.

Assemble the veggie packets: Place the green beans, potatoes, and green onions in the center of a large piece (about 18 by 28 inches) of heavy-duty aluminum foil, enough to bring up the sides and create a foil packet around the vegetables. (It helps toput the foil into a 2-inch deep baking dish, put the veggies in, and fold the overhanging foil up over the veggies to make the packet.) Drizzle the remaining marinade over the vegetables, season with a pinch of salt and pepper, then seal the packet closed. Put the packet directly on the preheated grill. Grill for 30 minutes.

To oven bake the veggie packets: Assemble the packets as per step 4. Put the packet into the preheated oven, directly on the oven rack, and bake until the vegetables are cooked, 30 to 35 minutes. Open up the packet after 30 minutes and check for doneness. Put it back into the oven and cook with packet open for the last 5 minutes.

Remove the pork tenderloin from the marinade and put it on the grill. Rotate to cook on all sides, basting with the marinade from the bag occasionally using a grill brush. For medium-well, the pork will be done in about 35 minutes, though once off the grill check the temperature to make sure it registers about 145°F internally. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice.

Put the foil packet of vegetables in a deep serving platter, open it, remove the foil, and arrange the sliced pork on top of the vegetables.

Notes

I like to use very thin French greens beans or haricots verts, but if you can’t find them you can make French-style green beans by trimming regular green beans, then slicing in half lengthwise.

Allow 1 hour to marinate prior to grilling. You can use either the grill or the oven for the vegetable packets.

Answer:	I believe that some scales have several different weight settings in which to measure weight, i.e., pounds and kg. If this happens there must be or should be a setting to switch from kg to pounds. It should be in your instructions if you scale has those settings and how to change the setting. It happened to me once but I could not change it back to pounds.

Answer:	Yes you can, but the package needs to weigh less than 45 pounds, since this is the scale's limit. Whether it's a baby or a package does not matter, as long as it weighs less than 45 pounds. I would also recommend taking off the tray when weighing packages, but whatever works for you is the way to go!
Question:	Basically, how do you get this scale to give you a reading when the child moves a little? The scale fluctuates wildly with every tiny movement
Answer:	No way! They have to lay still. I always lay a thin receiving blanket on it, tare the scale then lay baby down. My twins did pretty good about not moving for 2 seconds so I could get a good reading. They are 4 months now and do move too much when I put them on it. Good luck.
