I generally use desitin to protect from getting a rash it's a barrier protecting the skin. If you can't get to the doctor you can also use lotramin otc. Our doctor has had us do that on the weekends when they couldn't see our baby. Also baking soda bath soaks help as welll. Hope that helps.

Products like this tend to work more by creating a barrier between the flesh and moisture but since they do nourish the skin I imagine that it would be possible - just not idea. If you are looking to prevent razor burn I would suggest shaving with a product like American Crew shave gel or simply using cocoa butter after a shave.

Question:	My child had a sever reaction to this cream. I presume it is not hypoallergenic
Answer:	Actually no "cosmetic" product is truly hypoallergenic - it is primarily a marketing term as defined by the FDA. The only active ingredient in the product is Zinc Oxide. If you have used other creams that are Zinc Oxide based and had no reaction, doubt that might be the reason. That said, very sorry to hear of the issue. You can always return the product if you believe that is the problem. Thank You
Question:	Makes out baby smell like sausage after 5 minutes of wearing it. Normal
Answer:	PINXAV has a unique smell due to healing ingredients it contains. Menthol, Eucalyptol, aloe, etc - but honestly never heard sausage!
Question:	Is this antibacterial and antifungal? Or just one or the other
Answer:	It’s a diaper rash ointment like Desitin but it works much better. It soothes the pain of the rash. It’s more of an anti bacterial ointment.

Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus is used as an analgesic agent that helps to relieve pain. It is valued for its ability to reduce inflammation and promote healthy tissue and healing.

Clove

Clove Oil assists in addressing fungal infections, wounds and cuts. It is an intense oil, most commonly used to relieve dental pain and infection. It is antiseptic, carminative, warming, and very aromatic.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera treats skin conditions, such as psoriasis and acne, its calming effects to skin helps reduce itchiness and inflammation. It also has antibacterial and anti fungal properties that increase blood flow to wounds, and can stimulate fibroblasts, the skin cells responsible for wound healing.

Peppermint

Peppermint (aka menthol) is a natural antiseptic as well as provides relief to itchy skin. Menthol can also be applied topically to help to relieve itching and inflammation due to contact dermatitis and hives.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E oil benefits derive from two key features: it's antioxidant properties, which fight inflammation and slowing the effects of free radicals, and its moisturizing properties.

Wintergreen

Wintergreen stimulates blood circulation around the affected tissue and helps to kill bacteria on the skin. Wintergreen has also been know to treat and prevent acne .

The Pinxav Story

In 1927, our grandfather Milford Harris of Cleveland Ohio, then 25yrs old, was raising his family and was displeased with the products available for diaper rash cream. A pharmacist in Cleveland, Milford set out to formulate a product that Milford and his team of doctors and pharmacists knew could work better than anything else on the market. The result was a Diaper Rash Ointment that surpassed all the rest. Its healing ingredients enabled parents to care for their babies using healthy remedies that were ahead of its time.

When Milford Harris passed away, his wife Lillian Harris took over the company and became one of very few female CEO’s of her time. A career social worker, Lillian was passionate about her responsibility to give back to the world. Owning and operating Pinxav for more than 30 years, Lillian was committed to running a company that valued kindness, respect and integrity which is evidenced by the fact that the original receipt of Pinxav has never been altered, maintaining high-quality healing ingredients is why we are loved and trusted by parents and caregivers all throughout the midwest who for generations have passed on use of Pinxav to heal.

Our Gram ran the business till she was 97 and then, when she passed away at 104, she gave the company to her grandchildren. Today, sisters, Jodi and Hallie Harris, are carrying on in their gram's footsteps by deciding to share their family’s secret with families who live beyond the midwest.
