Answer:	The tallest rack is 3-1/2". They fit perfectly in my 3-1/2" deep Craftsman and Snap-On boxes.

Answer:	They don’t necessarily “mount”. The sockets simply rest in their dedicated spot sitting upright. The trays are able to be fixed to a board, bench or wall via a screw or nail hole in the base. Although mounting vertically I imagine is not ideal because the sockets are not locked into place by any means. Hope this helps y’all
Question:	Since the 'product dimensions' in the description is useless... what is the maximum height of the tallest piece? This is what a buyer needs to know

Answer:	To answer this question, I used the red bars with the black vinyl end caps remove. This would simulate the socket bar bolted down tight in your tool box. I used all Craftsman sockets. I measured the socket height alone and then again after mounted on the socket rail.*After installation, the 1/4" socket was lifted 0.488"*After installation, the 3/8" socket was lifted 0.456"*After installation, the 1/2" socket was lifted 0.419"If you leave the black vinyl end caps in place, that would add .050" to each of the dimensions provided above.

Question:	Would this work in a tool backpack
Answer:	if you pack it carefully. The magnets are not strong enough to withstand the forces if something else in the backpack puts enough pressure on them. I have six of these in different sizes in a portable tool box - side are square and there is nothing to exert force on the sockets and that works fine.

Answer:	Sorry, this is the only version we have at the moment. We can definitely look into Deep well socket holder variation as future product iteration.
Question:	Are there additional magents in the back for holding the tray to steel surfaces
Answer:	The 1/2" drive doesn't have additional magnets to hold the tray to a steel surface because it is too heavy, the 1/4" and 3/8" drive do. They all have a magnet on the inside to hold the socket in place though.

Answer:	The clips are pretty universal so for about seven or eight dollars you can buy a set of three rails and get extra crips that way.

Answer:	Gravity hold them in place. If turned upside down, they will fall off.
