Answer:	I do not believe that even on a new one there is a 5 year warranty on anything but the auger gearbox. If you go to the website, http://www.husqvarna.com/us/products/snow-throwers/st-224/#features, and down load the product sheet .pdf, you are led to believe that there is a 5 year warranty on the engine. But when you get the machine and look at the warranty section of the ownwer's manual the only item listed for five years is the auger gearbox. For the engine you are referred to the LCT engine manual and I think the small print there indicates a two year warranty. For the other major item, the transmission, you are also referred to the manufacturer of the transmission, but whomever this might be is not listed. The warranty was one of the biggest disappointments to me in buying this machine since I was misled into thinking the engine was covered for five years. Besides the auger gearbox the only other thing specifically listed in the owner's manual is "other non-expendable components", which are covered for 3 years. For a refurbished machine, if it was refurbished by Husqvarna, I would guess you would get the same poor warranty as a new one. To be sure call them at 1-800-487-5951. Good luck with that though, when I did I was put on hold for 10 minutes then gave up.
