Into the victron, out to the original breaker box and back into the rv. In my rv I choose to take the shore power cable and manually plug it into a designated outlet for the genset, instead of using a switch. All AC and DC lines are fused or breakerd according to wire guages. And each system solar, shore power and generator have disconnect switches. Answer: you would have to split your 240 vac and only use one leg to get your 120 vac line

Question: There's a little bit of a high pitched noise when the inverter is running. Is that normal
Answer: Yes it does but make sure you understand that it does not pass all available amperage thru the unit. the 2000W unit only passes 20A so take that into account if you want to run an AC unit and other items as you will possibly blow the breaker on the inverter/charger......ask me how I know :). What I ended up doing was installing a switch box and wired the shore power to the switch box and then on 2 separate legs I fed the inverter and the the power distribution panel on the trailer. Issue solved.

Answer: This unit does not have an AC terminal block and can not be hardwired.

Seldom is that high an accuracy necessary in an air pressure gauge. This gauge works very well for a vehicle glove box item.

Answer: Yes, but 0 gauge can only safely handle about 170 amps, which is about about 2000 watts. You can use 2, 0 gauge wires per terminal to get the full 3000 watts safely. If you're using any thicker wire, I would recommend getting larger diameter terminals as 5/16 inch holes will not interface properly with the renogy positive and negative terminals.
Question: I want to use the solar panels on my rv and only use shore power when my solar panels can't keep up with electric demands. Will this work for me
Answer: use size depends upon the inverter size and the loads you are putting on it. Typically you size the wires and fuse for the inverter continuous load. This inverter is rated to be about 90% efficient. That means 12 volts x 0.90 = 10.8 volts (90% efficiency). 3000 watt inverter divided by 10.8 volts = 277 amps. The wire size going from the inverter to the battery is based upon heat resistance, so accounting for a possible 277 amps going through that wire you'll need a 4/0 wire (Pos & Neg). you will also need a fuse 25% larger than the rated amps so 277 x 1.25 = 346 amps. you'll need a 350 amp fuse on the positive cable going to the inverter. You can also increase the fuse size by an additional 15-20%, if you like, to account for surge watts. That would mean 346 x 1.15 = 398 so a 400 amp fuse would suffice. see less
