Question:	What is the screw/nut size for the DC input
Answer:	I wouldn't know, I was shipped the incorrect part and Amazon have refused to even refund the difference.....300 bucks!
Question:	Can this run a regular panel like your normal input wires? Also can ground and neutral be hooked together like normal? That has wrecked cheaper ones
Answer:	The wire diagram in the manual specifically shows incoming power cable should have both hot wires and ground, but they show "Don't connect neutral to anything" with the wire going to nothing (left off to the side). For outgoing power they show all (both hots, neutral, and ground) which should be able to be the power source for a sub-panel to run multiple things. I've actually set this up on a panel with a "split bus" where I have the grid power come in on a few breakers that feed this, then have this be the feed for another section of breakers separated from the grid. Inside that panel the ground and neutral wires are all connected together, so in effect I've connected the grounds and neutral together on this and not had any bad results. So I don't see where the "neutral and ground can't go together" becomes a big deal. Maybe on cheaper inverters they create the seemingly "120V" by actually putting ~60V charges of opposite polarity on the "hot and neutral" wires forcing you to keep grounds separate, yet this one has 2 hots at ~120V each where they can't do that on the neutral.

Answer:	You should be careful with this since people regularly make mistakes with this and do not understand the importance. On the Aims WEB site the manual states (Make sure to use the manual for your unit, they can be different HW/Plug). 1. Grounding The power inverter has a terminal on the rear panel marked " Grounding "or "≡". This is used to connect the chassis of the power inverter to ground. The ground terminal has already been connected to the ground wire of the AC output receptacle through the inverter. The ground terminal must be connected to the ground wire, which will vary depending on where the power inverter is installed. In a vehicle, connect the ground terminal to the chassis of the vehicle. In a boat, connect it to the boat’s ground system. In a fixed location, connect the ground terminal to earth.
Question:	What is the difference between the ul and non-ul units, specifically the 3000w

Answer:	Normally the big price differences is either between the voltages(12v,24v,36v,or 48v) systems or what I usually see is a price difference between a modified sine wave inverter or a pure sine wave inverter. The difference is depending on what you are trying to run and how long. Appliances in the US are designed for a pure 60HZ sine wave, and work normally, but with a modified sine wave any devices with a motor will start making a buzzing noise due to not having a clean sine wave to rotate on.

Answer:	That is correct.
Question:	Can I connect my solar panels directly to this and have it charge the batteries without any other controller or do I need some other controller
Answer:	You must have a charge controller for this to work. The solar panels connect to the charge controller, the charge controller connects to the batteries, the batteries connect to the AIMS inverter. The purpose of the charge controller is to regulate how much power the solar panels send to the batteries. Hope this helps.
Question:	does the charger support Lithium
Answer:	I purchased this for use in a 24V Battleborn Lithium system. I had fits trying to figure out why intermittently the Battery Management System (BMS) would should down. Battery supplier tells me it's the inverter, inverter tells me it's the batteries malfunctioning. I asked AIMs phone support what the inrush current requirement was for this inverter? Phone support responded with 21Volts is required for the unit to operate properly and would not answer my question. The BMS shuts down at 700A according to Battleborn. I complained to AIMs and a more knowledgeable and helpful engineer responded. I ended up having to use a switch and resistor to pre-charge the inverter prior to connecting the inverter. This is not supposed to happen until the inverters are 4KW and above. General feedback I was given regarding AIMS is it's a lower quality Chinese made product. So far it is working but it also overcharges my batteries in the charger mode slightly above 30V where it should be 28.8V but that is with an AC input of 125V.
Question:	Has anyone purchased this that can give some long term reviews? How is the power consumption? Are you still happy with it? Any issues
Answer:	Owned and used for 7 months on an off grid system, 320amp/hr @24v battery bank with 800 watt array and this unit works great!! Have a victron battery monitor and the consumption is right around 30 watts at idle for the inverter. It is always on and it will invert 12 led lights, a ceiling fan, bath fan, all for around 175 watts! It handles the high loads of a blender very well, even our 3/4 ton air conditioner with minimal light flickering. Also easy to set up a generator backup and connecting shore power right up to it. It transfers from power sources very quickly with no interruptions. No issues!

Answer:	I don’t believe the 3000 will supply enough power to run an ac unless you have a very large battery bank, it might run things for a short time but you would be better off using a secondary gen set and run in parallel for heavier uses

Answer:	Yes the Inverter has an internal charger for the batteries. It is selectable for the type of batteries. I have not tested the output but it manages to keep my multiple batteries charged on my service van. The temperature probe is used in conjunction with the optional control panel to monitor the condition of the batteries to make sure that they do not overheat during the charge cycle.

Automatic Transfer Switch

This inverter comes installed with an automatic transfer switch which will quickly transfer you to back up power in case of a power outage without you having to flip a switch. (10 ms max transfer time)

When utility AC power cuts off (or falls out of acceptable range), the transfer relay is de-energized and the load is automatically transferred to Inverter mode. Once the qualified AC power is restored the relay is re-energized and the load is automatically reconnected to AC bypass mode.

Answer:	On my inverter, the fans, there's two of them run continuously. Mine's about 8 years old. I have it wired up to two 12 volt 100 amp hour batteries for 200 amps at 12 volts. I ran it unattended for 6 hours the day before yesterday, during a power outage, to keep an old power hog refrigerator running. That inverter runs all my power tools including my 15 amp miter saw and my 15 amp circular saw. If the inverter temperature is over around 90 degrees F, inside, then the fans run off and on, trying to get the inverter down to below 77 degrees F. For every ten degree rise over 80 degrees F, life expectancy in electronics is slashed by 40%. So the fan running is good thing. It might be noisy, but it only uses about 5 watts more per hour while running.
