It does mention that if the cables are reversed in the wrong order, that it will emit a steady beep-beep-beep, sound, along with a solid red light.

Answer:	It sure doesn't and on a fresh charge would not jump my 04' 4runner with the 4.7 v8. Complete disappointment it was sleeting terrible and this thing is a piece of junk. I went to town as soon as I got going(lol) and bought a norco gb70. Man the norco was the real deal and it has the boost function and it works. You can hear it kick in and you know right then what kinda power it packs. Don't waste your time but the norco.

How To Use the Arteck To Jump Start A Vehicle Battery

1. Make sure the battery capacity of the device is above 50%.

2. Plug the jumper cables into the barrel socket of the device and connect the jumper cable clamps to the drained battery of the vehicle.

WARNING: Always connect the BLACK clamp to the negative ( - ) terminal of the car battery first, then connect the RED clamp to the positive ( + ) terminal of the car battery. Do not touch the RED and BLACK cable clamps together or connect both cable clamps to the same piece of metal.

3. Now attempt to crank start the engine.

WARNING: If the engine does not start immediately on the first try, disconnect the jumper cables from the car battery and wait at least 10 seconds before reconnecting the jumper cables to the car battery.

Answer:	The answer is variable depending on the energy draw of the starter. It seems to use a out 10% of the charge on my neighbors Kia who frequently leave her door ajar and drains the battery. I suspect my Tundra would draw a bit more. I would guess between 8 and 12 jumps depending on the vehicle. We recharge when it shows 50%.

Connect the red clamp to the positive electrode (+) of the car battery and the black clamp to the negative one (-). At this time the cable clamp display still shows circles. 4. Starting the engine by turning the car's key or pressing the start button of the car. Please start the car within 30 seconds. because the cable has time-out protection 5. Once the engine has been successfully started, unplug the jumper cable from the jump starter within 30 seconds. Answer:	When your battery is REALLY DEAD , you need to give it a few minutes for some juice to go into the dead battery. Then try to start the car. Even if starting off another running cars battery, hook up the jumpers and wait 5 minutes, then try. This is not anything with this device, it's just how jumping dead batteries is. If the battery is mildly dead then it may start right up immediately. This thing started my 99 Cherokee 4.0L no prob.
