Answer:	Adding more batteries in parallel will extend the run time of the inverter. The total run time is dependent on the AC load power consumption and the battery capacity.

Answer:	The CPI2500W must be hard wired directly to the battery. The lighter outlet in any vehicle is not capable of suppling the CPI2500W with the current need to power the maximum 2500 Watt AC load. Lighter outlets or accessory outlets in vehicles are usually limited to around 125 Watts. When hard wiring the inverter directly to the vehicle battery pay attention to the wire gauge, wire terminations must be crimped and better yet - soldered for a good mechanical and electrical connection. Inline fuse or breaker is also recommended at the battery end and try to keep the wire length as short as possible to minimize Voltage drop in the wiring. Follow those suggestions and enjoy reliable inverter operation.

Answer:	First of all, I'm not sure if any inverter outlets are rated for 5000 watts (around 46 amps depending on the power factor). Next, I would not feel comfortable running the inverter at full capacity for any length of time. I think you should check these things out with their tech support people. As for batteries, you'll be pulling 416.67 amps. You'll want at least four 220 amp hour batteries. More would be better.

Answer:	This inverter will output 41.6 AC Amps continuous. It has a 83 amp surge for 40 milliseconds, which should be good for startup on most electronics. The ac plugins on the front of the unit are rated for 12.5 amps a piece. If you need to draw more than that on a single appliance/application then I suggest you use the Terminal Block on the front of the unit, which will allow the full 41.6 amps.

All AC and DC lines are fused or breakerd according to wire guages. And each system solar, shore power and generator have disconnect switches. Answer:	Thats a tough one to answer, I only use a fuse between the battery and the APS750, and as close to the battery's positive terminal as possible, using an Ohm's Law Calculator you can see that for 1500 watts you are using 125 amps, but 1500 watts is the max that the APS750 will do, and only for a few seconds, and for 750 watts you are using 62.5 amps, for my use, I use two 12v deep cycle batteries and a smaller 40 amp fuse between the APS750 and the 12v deep cycle batteries, that gives me a max of 480 watts before it blows, I am only powering a TV, satellite receiver, and a few lights.For something like a sump pump I would wonder if 480 watts is the starting watts or running watts, starting watts is the amount of watts it takes to start the motor, and running watts is the constant watts used after starting, starting watts can sometimes be double or triple the running watts.I would try a 60 amp fuse first, to see what happens, if the 60 amp fuse blows, then go up to the next size.
