Answer:	Yes it is supposed to, BUT if your fortín is not updated to the newer firmware you will have to take it to get updated or update it yourself which requires more equipment. I ended up returning mine since I didn’t want to pay more money to update my fortin and I didn’t have a windows computer for the software it required.

Answer:	This is Paul, the owner of The Cozee. We looked at all of the ways we could heat the blanket. There are several “heating pad” type elements...they would have pushed our blanket cost sky high. Because we wanted to cover all of the 25 square foot area of the blanket, it would have bumped our retail to almost $700. Answer:	I believe all of them would fit into a 1979 MG Midget. They're not that small.....
Question:	This says unboxed. How is it packaged? Does it come with all the accessories in the retail box including spacing adapters
Answer:	Yes, mine came with the appropriate spacers for my particular form factor. I have a 2001 f-150 and I am sure glad it came with the spacers because I had to use one of them to get it to fit. I comes in a box with the spacer inside of it. So as far as the spacers go, Optima thought of everything! I am very pleased with the product!
Question:	does this battery come fully charged
Answer:	Mine came fully charged, my vehicle indicates 12.0V (engine not running) and ~13.8 to 14.0V (engine running). I keep this vehicle hooked up to a Deltran Battery Tender and it did not take too long for the Battery Tender to register Green (fully charged) once hooked up (~a few hours or so).
Question:	I see concerns about an Amazon warranty after 1 year yet the warranty noted in Amazon for the red top is clearly 36 months. What's the real deal
Answer:	It's 36 months through Optima. Unlike going back to the parts store what you have to do is file a claim with Amazon customer service. They do all the leg work from there. So here is the issue you have to decide if it's worth it or not. It can take a week between customer service contact, optima approves, new battery received. Can you make it a week without a battery??I have only seen one issue with an Optima battery back when I worked at a marine dealer. We sold a hundred or so a year (was there 2-1/2 years). Mine is only a couple months old, but I did accidentally kill it installing amps, subs, stereo, and it recharged and has no issues. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The reason to connect (& disconnect) on a grounded member rather than at the battery is to avoid the risk of a spark igniting any combustible gases that may be surrounding the battery. Although the risk is low with a low amperage charger like this, it's a good practice to make the final connection to a ground remote from the battery. Just ensure it's a GOOD ground. My uncle had a battery blow up in his face (albeit under different conditions) and I can attest it's nothing you soon forget.
Question:	How long will this reach? From recepticle to battery? Also does this come with the "quick connect" cable or just the alligator type clamps
Answer:	The power cord to the charger is 6'3" long. The cord from the unit to its end is also 6'3" long. It ends in a quick connect/disconnect plug. The alligator clamp cord plugs into that connector. So the overall length from wall outlet to the battery is about 14'. If that's too short you can order quick connect plug extension cords. They make one extension cord that's 24 feet long. I use an extension cord that's about 2 feet long with a quick connect on one end and two rings on the other. The rings fit onto the bolts of the battery clamps. I leave it connected to the batttery and the other end is accessible through the grille, so that I can plug in the unit without having to open the hood.
Question:	How long roughly do you think it will take to re-charge dead battery? Been charging for almost 24 hours and light is still amber
Answer:	A 'fairly' dead battery should charge up in about 24 - 36 hours. If the battery has access ports, you might want to check the water level (DISTILLED water only). If it is low in any of the chambers, then you would fill that chamber with distilled water up to the bottom of a concave meniscus level at the markers. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meniscus ) If there are NO access ports on the battery (sealed) and the light does not change to green after about 48 hours, you might think about getting a new battery. Make sure that the terminals are clean and that the connections to the charger and to the battery are solid.
