The recondition function adopts high voltage up to 15.8V to stimulation battery, mainly for the bad battery caused by short circuit or low-softening plate. The working cycle is five cycles, each cycle is 4 hours. If the charger test concludes that the battery (using the object) is still less than 12V after the repair cycle, the dead battery is determined.
Question:	Why does my charger keep saying clap the battery when i did and nothing happens
Answer:	Below about 4Volts, the charger doesn't think a battery is connected, and you won't see voltage displayed. If you can boost or parallel the voltage high enough, it will start charging, but a battery that dead is probably destroyed. As for other answer saying to press the charge button, you can change options for 30 seconds and manually press charge, or just wait and it starts by itself (auto-amperage and flooded cell by default) once it detects the battery and you see voltage displayed.

Answer:	No, you have to select the voltage and type of battery before starting the charge process.

Answer:	Suggest you read the simple manual that comes with the product. But the scenario you describe means it is charging your battery. When the "Charging complete" light illuminates, the battery is charged.
Question:	Is this a smart charger? How does this charger differ from the Pro-Logix 12 and 16 amp "automatic" chargers
Answer:	It is a smart charger in that it uses a "proprietary Multi-phase charging process". According to the packaging, it's a 7 phase charging process where some phases are constant current and some are constant voltage. In one of the phases (phase 6) it does out a load on the battery and then recharges it. It also has a soft start mode to recover deeply discharged batteries and a battery recondition mode, which I assume is to restore sulphate batteries. I'm not familiar with the 12/16 amp chargers so I can only assume that the difference is the maximum charging current. The PL2320 is a very nice charger. I mainly use it as a maintenance charger on one of my lesser used cars and it works great.
Question:	Has anyone experienced %charged staying at 95 percent... Then if I unplug and re-plug it in then it shows 100 percent? Just odd timing or an issue
Answer:	The reason it shows that the battery is 100% charged, is because the voltage of the battery hasn't dropped down to its "resting" voltage. It still has a "float" charge which WILL decrease and be completely gone in about 3hrs. So when you unplug the charger and plug it back in, the charger thinks you're trying to charge a battery that is already fully charged because it has +13.0 volts (float voltage). Lead acid batteries are 100% charged at +12.6 volts (resting voltage), AGM batteries are 100% charged at +12.8 volts (resting voltage).Basically if you unplug the battery while it's still charging, you have to wait for the battery to get back down to its resting voltage for the charger to know the exact condition of the battery which takes about +2-3hrs. If it's your car battery you can just turn your lights on for 15-20 minutes without the engine running and stick it back on the charger. You'll see it start back at the actual % charge of the battery. Hope this helped.

Answer:	The clamps are metal on the inside (obviously), and a durable plastic on the outside as insulating covers. Looks to be pretty durable, I've had no problems with them. But then, I tend to take care of my toys! :-) This unit, by the way, was an excellent investment...after having owned several less-capable chargers. This one restored my Yellow Top battery back to its full capacity in short order! I own a Tahoe Hybrid and had installed the Yellow Top as a result of standard batteries not holding a full charge after a year or two, and often draining when not running the Tahoe at least once every 4-5 days or so. Question:	Can you use this with one 24v 300watt solar panel
Answer:	No. Here's why. The device can accept at most a 25v input into its solar terminals. And solar panels, be they 12V or 24V can invariably produce more voltage than they are rated at--much as the maximum voltage of a 12V solar panel will not exceed 25V (it might make 18V in some cases.)
Question:	can you use 120 to 12 volt regulator 40 amp to charge this instead of solar
Answer:	The correct answer is yes. The reason why this is so is because the controller inside the product is of the MPPT (maximum power point tracking) type, that can convert volts to amps or vice versa to maximize the watts (which is volts X amps) used to charge either house or starter batteries. A more to point question might be if it is recommended. The short answer is I don't think so without at least knowing the size of your house and starter batteries or what you draw in power from either and when (engine on or off.) Knowing such 411 allows for the proper sizing of your power source, A/C charger and/or solar panels alike.
Question:	How does this work for smart alternator? Can you connect this to the start battery directly
Answer:	Yes, Connect to the (+) terminal of the start battery through a 45 amp fuse for the 30 amp Renogy (75 amp for 50 amp Renogy). Negative lead to (-) terminal. For a smart alternator, you must use the IGN port (Ignition Signal Input) on the Renogy to turn the charger on/off. For a standard alternator, do not use the IGN port as the charger will sense the alternator voltage and turn the charger on. With a smart alternator, the vehicle may be operating at 12V for fuel economy. This will confuse the Renogy input voltage sensor and the charger will not turn on. I use one of the four GM Upfitter switches on the dash to control the IGN. Some people tap into a vehicle cargo light switch 12V output.
Question:	How do you connect it to a fuse box
Answer:	You want to connect the charger to the house battery that you want to charge directly. I put inline breaker fuses coming from the solar panel and alternator to the charger.

Answer:	The factory Delco radio in my black 5spd 94 S10 kills my battery if I do not drive it at least once every 48 hours. Deltran chargers work great for all the equipment we use at work (24v of course) and Deltran works great to keep my Delco radio from killing my S10. A fellow employee of mine has a 2008 Silverado and has suffered from dead batteries for years if he did not drive in at least once every few days - seems that GM cannot produce a radio that does not kill a battery. He installed a Deltran charger last month and has not yet had a dead battery despite the radio sucking 950mah.
Question:	is it easy to install or do i need mechanic? i am elderly
Answer:	All you do is connect the end that has the clips for battery red positive black negative shows on top of battery as such. There is a plug coming from unit that will pug into those two items once all that is plugged in then plug unit into 110 wall socket and it will charge from there read instructions as to how to tell when batter is fully charged. This unit is not installed it is to be used when needed and can be left hooked to your battery when car is at home with out hurting battery. Once charged then un plug from battery and un plug from wall outlet till needed next time. Hope that helps some but be sure to read instructions as how to tell what the lights on unit is telling you.
