14 best value wheel chocks
Value wheel chocks are a critical component of automotive tools and equipment used in garages and shops. They play a vital role in ensuring the safety of vehicles and individuals during maintenance, repairs, and other automotive-related tasks. Here's what you need to know about value wheel chocks:
Purpose: Wheel chocks, including value wheel chocks, are designed to prevent vehicles from unintentionally moving or rolling. They are placed in front of or behind a vehicle's wheels to immobilize it temporarily, especially when it's on a slope or during maintenance work.
Materials: Value wheel chocks are typically made from durable materials like rubber, plastic, or a combination of both. These materials provide a good grip on the ground and the vehicle's tires.
Design: Wheel chocks come in various designs to accommodate different wheel sizes and types. They often have a ribbed or textured surface to enhance traction and prevent slipping.
Safety: Using wheel chocks is crucial for the safety of automotive technicians and anyone in the vicinity of the vehicle. They help prevent accidents, especially when working under a raised vehicle or during tire changes.
Versatility: Value wheel chocks are suitable for a wide range of vehicles, from cars and trucks to trailers and recreational vehicles. They are versatile tools that can be used in various automotive applications.
Storage and Portability: Many value wheel chocks are designed to be compact and easy to store when not in use. Some may even have built-in handles or ropes for convenient carrying.
Compliance: It's important to ensure that the wheel chocks you choose meet safety standards and regulations in your region. Look for chocks that are certified for their effectiveness in immobilizing vehicles.
Maintenance: Like any other tool, value wheel chocks may require occasional maintenance. Inspect them regularly for signs of wear and tear, and replace them if they become damaged or cracked.
Quantity: It's recommended to use at least two wheel chocks at a time—one for each wheel on the same axle—for maximum stability and safety.
Usage Guidelines: Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper placement and use of wheel chocks. They should be positioned on a level and solid surface, and the vehicle's parking brake should also be engaged.
In summary, value wheel chocks are essential tools for ensuring the safety of both vehicles and individuals in automotive settings. They are designed to prevent accidental movement or rolling of vehicles, making them a crucial addition to any garage or automotive workshop.

User questions & answers
Question: | after wheels of a vehicle roll up against these to hold vehicle in place, can you still pull them out from wheel before backing off of them |
Answer: | No. I am not able to with our fifth wheel. We have to pull off |
Question: | So, how do you keep these from slipping on a painted garage floor? Are they returnable |
Answer: | Put the flatter side of the chock against the garage floor, and the ribbed side toward the tire, for the most traction on a smooth surface. Then give the chock a good kick or mallet thump against the bottom base to wedge it as tight as possible under the tires. |
Question: | Will these work for a Honda Fit parks on an uphill for a couple months |
Answer: | I would expect they would. They are very sturdy. They should fit on a car with low clearance from the ground. Make sure where you place them the street is clean of debris. |
Question: | Will these work for the black tank |
Answer: | What are you trying to do - maybe level an RV so the black tank operates properly or drains? If so, then no - these are chocks, and only stop wheels from rolling. They are not levelers, and you would never get a vehicle to stay up on them. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are these plastic or rubber |
Answer: | The pieces are heavy duty plastic. |
Question: | Are they low enough at the top to fit into BMW sedan wheel well |
Answer: | The side profile is 8-1/4" long (footprint) by 4-3/4" high. Back slopes slightly forward from bottom to top. |
Question: | Are these made out of hard plastic or rubber? if they are some kind of hard plastic I would think they could easily slip off concrete or asphalt |
Answer: | They’re a hard plastic and the first time I used them I forgot I had one under my front drivers side tire on the concrete surface of my carport and reversed about a foot before I realized what the loud grinding noise was. I have an ‘08 Nissan Frontier for reference. As a test and as my truck is parked on a slope I just put it in neutral to see if this chock would prevent my truck from rolling back from its weight alone and again it rolled back about a foot this time with a cracking sound and sure enough there are now small cracks in the base. I’ll be looking for a bigger rubber based chock when I finish this. |
Question: | Question for recent purchaser. are they orange or black? i want orange so i see/remember them. thanks |
Answer: | Mine were black. It seems some others have said they got orange, so who knows. I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago around the middle of 4/2016. They work fine just for the record. I forgot to take them out once, and my niece went to use the car...she didn't have much luck backing out. The chocks were 100% intact still. Not a chip, crack, bend, ....nothing. |

Question: | Are these suitable for a Winnebago |
Answer: | Mine work great on an inclined driveway holding in place about 8,000 lbs so far |
Question: | Are these suitable for 80,000 + lb semi trucks |

Question: | are these wheel chocks rated for 7000-gallon tanker trucks |

User questions & answers
Question: | What size flat heads do you need to secure these |
Answer: | I would not use a flat head screw at all. But rather, a 3/8" hex head nut & bolt with a washers, or hex head screw. The hex head will not interfere with the tire. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Do these chocks stay securely locked in when they are empty? It looks like they could slide back and bounce out of the bracket |
Answer: | I've had the 5 1/2" chocks, for many years. It's a removable chock. That's why the slots in the brackets are shaped like a keyhole. The same brackets, fit both the 3 1/2" and the 5 1/2" size Chock . Just remove the chock from the brackets, when not in use. |
Question: | What is the length of the screws |
Answer: | The screws went through my 2x6 boards which are the floor of my trailer with no problems. It's a convenient wheel chock. I think this is made for a medium to wide wheel. I sort of wish I would have purchased one that would hold my front wheel a little tighter. I have a Honda Spirit 1100. Maybe not the widest wheel. I found out later that they come in different widths. |
Question: | Can this be fit universally in other L track? My sprinter van came stock with L track and would like to put it in my van |
Answer: | No you would need adapter brackets |
Question: | would this choke work on a vespa tire? Does it mount easily to a truck bed |
Answer: | I have it mounted to the floor in a 5x8 enclosed trailer. It requires drilling through the floor and placing washers and nuts on the underside of the flooring. It may not work in a truck bed unless you are willing to put holes in it. Also, make sure and measure your tire to see if it fits the Vespa. I use it for a 250cc dirt bike which has a very tall but skinny front tire. There are more than one size available for different motorcycle applications. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does 1 pair mean a set of two stabilizers |
Answer: | Yes. 1 pair is 2 individual x-chocks. |
Question: | Is this made in USA |
Answer: | Hi, I’m not sure where they are made but I have a set and they are decent quality. They adjust quick and hold secure when in place. Hope this helps |
Question: | My tires are 2.5 inches apart on my travel trailer. Will this work |
Answer: | In my experience it will be difficult. The device will fit but, my trailer had approx 2" between the tires and I could not use the supplied wrench to tighten the unit. The wrench would go in but after you tightened one notch you could not remove the wrench without loosening the device. I estimated you would need ay least 2 3/4" to 3" to use the supplied wrench. |
Question: | My tires are 16 inches apart, would this extend far enough |
Answer: | That full opened, it is 10 inch they will open. 8 1/2 inch would be at the max for them to have good holding power. Sincere regards sulythw team |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this good for a trailer. And will it fit a 2005 vstar 1100 classic |
Answer: | Yes it works great on a trailer and and yes it will fit your bike nicely. My trailer (Triton AUT1064) has channels in the bed to use carriage bolts to secure cargo. Unfortunately the angle iron on the chock was not wide enough (needed to be 48") for the channels so I bolted a longer piece of angle iron to it and drilled holes to fit the channels. It holds my 2007 V-Star 1100 Classic well while I attach ratchet straps to secure the bike for towing. Backing the bike out of the chock is no problem. I am considering buying another one so that I can tow two bikes. |
Question: | How well with this hold a 90/90-21 enduro tire? I'll be mounting it in a trailer and using it off-road behind my Jeep. Will it hold with straps |
Answer: | This will work well with your tire and using hold down strap(s) are always the way to travel on any trailer. Any issues with this chock are usually due to having a front fender that is so low in the back that it hits or drags on the adjustable chock cradle. I have the cradle pivot set in the middle position and it is perfect for my Harley Davidson Heritage Softail. I installed D rings on my trailer to secure the straps.Best wishes. |
Question: | Will this work with a 2010 Victory Kingpin with the lower sweeping fender |
Answer: | I have an Ultra classic and I had to remove the pivot piece and cinch my steer wheel in the remaining stand because it would've bent my fender. My guess is no. |
Question: | Anyone know if this will be okay for a 12" tire? im hoping to use it for a kawi z125, zx10, and dirt bike |
Answer: | I would not recommend this wheel chock at all,, very poorly made. It would not fit your 12" wheel properly, or a ZX10. I had to modify the one I bought heavily to work properly with my front wheel 120/70-17 for my ZX14R. I would recommend the Trackside Wheel Chock, I use it in my trailer,,, and it is great,, but more expensive. You get what you pay for ! |

User questions & answers
Question: | How sturdy are these? i have a class b rv that weighs about 9500 lbs dry (only 4 wheels). i used plastic block levelers from campingworld and they broke in their first use |
Answer: | This is my second set of these blocks (because I needed more to level on steep incline) only one of the first ten has failed and that's because i did line it up with the jack. My class A Rv weighs 22000 dry they have served me well for 6 months |
Question: | What's the difference between Camco 44512 and 44505 models |
Answer: | 44505 is our leveling blocks. 44512 is our Fasten Leveling Blocks with T-Handle. You can give us a call at 800-334-2004 if we can be of further assistance. Thanks. |
Question: | What is the weight limit for these Camco blocks? For the Camco Trileveler it is only 4000 lbs |
Answer: | I've used them used under the wheels of some rather large class A motorhomes. What destroys them is if they start to slide when you drive onto them. You have to orient them like a staircase so that you are not attempting to "climb" more than the thickness of "one block per step". Rough, rocky ground can also damage them. In many situations, you'll need more than just 10 blocks. If you really want to be prepared, get 20, or even 30 blocks (two or three 10-pks.) If you use them under the rear of a motorhome that has duals, you need separate "staircases" of blocks for inner/outer wheels, because the blocks are not wide enough to support both inner and outer wheels on the width of a single block. |
Question: | What are the dimensions of each block |
Answer: | 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 1 Warning: The 10 answers you will find here all have one thing in common, none of them had a clue but decided to added a few inches here and there. If you can't scroll down the description to find the dimensions, maybe it's time to put your mouse pad away for the winter. |

Engineered with a patented design to optimize both strength and weight, resin is UV stabilized and built to last even when exposed to sunlight for extended periods of time. Bright, visible yellow color helps you see them so you don’t leave them behind. They can also be used to help prevent your stabilizers from sinking in soft ground. Camco's RV Leveling Blocks measure 8.5 inch x 8.5 inch and can be used with stack jacks, trailer tongues, 5th wheel jacks and swing arm supports. If dirt or debris build up in the leveling blocks, just knock it off and hose it out before storage. Product includes a zippered storage bag with handle to keep them all together when not being used.
How it Works
Once you have parked in your camp spot, use levels to determine whether or not your vehicle needs to be leveled. Determine the stack height needed and arrange the leveling blocks in front of the wheel in one of the approved configurations. Do not stack leveling blocks more than 4 inches high. Drive very carefully onto the blocks; it may be helpful to have a passenger step outside to guide. Once the vehicle is on the blocks and level, make sure to set the parking brake. When you’re ready to leave, simply drive off the blocks, park the vehicle, collect the blocks and place them back in the carrying bag.

User questions & answers
Question: | Are they sold individually or in pairs |
Answer: | They are sold in pairs. Cheaper than Harbor Freight too. |
Question: | Listed product dimensions are 12.6 x 8.3 x 8.7 inches ; is this information correct |
Answer: | Those figures are actually centimeters. Chocks are small. |
Question: | What is the size when unfolded? Thanks |
Answer: | Its the size for small to average size cars. |
Question: | Are these chocks suitable for chocking a 16000 lb motor home? Thanks |
Answer: | Not on your life!! Only if the ground were hard-packed, or concrete, and was absolutely level!!!! Don't expect these to hold ANYTHING heavier than the approximate size and weight of an ATV or similar item, especially on ANY slightly sloped/un-level surface. I've had several sets. They work for perfectly level ground, but that's all, as far as anything in a full-sized vehicle. I too have seen them easily backed over and crushed when my son forgot to pull them out, after working on his full-sized pickup in our 30' x 30' concrete floored metal shop building. He didn't really know they were still there until he saw them both flattened on the floor after exiting the parking stall. (That's partially why I've had several sets of these). They're GREAT for boat trailers and smaller size tire vehicles, but would highly recommend TALLER 1-piece chocks for anything larger than a full-sized pickup on LEVEL ground, or anything larger than an ATV on SLOPED ground. I am my own vehicle mechanic, and do a LOT of boat, travel-trailer and cargo trailer towing, and have driven the ALCAN Hwy from Anchorage AK to the Lower 48 States 4 times, each time pulling some kind of heavy trailer. The chocks are good for lightweight vehicles (I would personally recommend usage on vehicles UNDER 3,000 lb and on level ground only, though.) |
