| Answer: | You can do it: once it's as empty as you can get it with the conventional pouring angle, SLOWLY rotate the can without removing the funnel from your car's gas tank. It will reposition the can and the rest of the gas will flow out. You just slowly rotate it 180 degrees (in a circular motion looking from the sky down...like clockwise). I don't know if that is how it's designed but it works. |

The return spring on the lid is very heavy duty so you need to really pull on that handle to get it all the way back. |

| Answer: | I wouldn’t advise leaving/storing gasoline in any container in a “hot” car, namely direct sunlight, for long periods. However, this container filled with gasoline does not expand much if at all. Just keep the lid tight and it stays tight and keep gas fresher. Plastic gasoline containers, it has been my experience, expand like a ballon in hot storage and may expand to the point where gas and/or fumes escape causing a danger. I won’t store gasoline in plastic containers for this very reason and is also the reason I switched to this product. I store them (I have 4) in a shed where temps can reach 115 degrees daily during the summer and have not noticed any expansion or swelling effects. They are stored for months full. They are good, dependable storage devices for gasoline. In hurricane country where I live, you better have a supply of extra fuel. This jerry can is the best for the money and keeps my extra fuel safe and easy to use. Don’t store inside home and only in an area that has good ventilation. True for any fuel container to be extra safe. Simply beats any plastic gas container i’ve Used...and that’s a bunch. |
