Answer:	i would run some kind of anti bacterial cleaner through it to make sure to kill any germs but if you use it for drinking water stay with that do not get the pump near anything else or bad chemicals.

Answer:	The Extech MO50 takes quick Moisture level reference measurements (in percent %) on wood and building materials. The measurement range for building materials is Low: 1.5% to 16.9%; Medium: 17% to 19.9%; High: 20 to 33%. If the expected moisture percentage of the paper is expected to fall at or above 1.5% then the MO50 Compact Pin Moisture Meter would work appropriately.
Question:	We use a refrigerated tractor trailer for storage. Would this reach up to a tractor trailer tank? Would it fit that type of tank
Answer:	Thank you so much for your interest in our products. The MO53 is able to detect moisture at 0.8''. For the application you mention, I believe you can be interested in a different meter. From FLIR, we can suggest the MR176 using the MR12 ball probe. That will help you to get almost 4'' depth in the material.
Question:	The ad says "no more lifting." The directions say keep the supplying and receiving tanks at the same level. So what gives? Which is it
Answer:	Expect you would have to push the meter probes through the paint layer to get a good reading.
Question:	can this pump gas out of a car
Answer:	It really only measures moisture that is within 1/2" of the surface. For example I have a leaky toilet in a bathroom and the subfloor is saturated with water. I have to push the prongs through the surface of the flooring until it reaches the wet subfloor, in order to get a reading. If you need something for reading deep within a wall, you will need an invasive meter which has really long prongs that can be fed through test holes that you drill into the affected area. If you want to test deep within areas such as several inches, the only way is through destructive inspection, pinless moisture meters, and in some cases infrared cameras. extech is one of the most trusted meter brands and I am very happy with my purchase. It works best for measuring the moisture content of wood specifically at the test location. If there was a flood and the surface appears dry but you have some suspension as to what's going on several inches into the wall cavity, this meter will not help.

How to Operate

1. Find the adapter that is the best fit and make sure it is fastened tightly to your supply tank
2. Insert intake hose through the adapter and fasten the pump's joint nut tightly
3. Attach the discharge hose to your receiving tank using the clip, make sure the discharge nozzle is in a vertical position
4. Start the flow of fuel by pressing the ON button
5. After automatically stopping, bring the discharge hose up above the tank to drain the excess fuel or liquid back into the supply tank
6. put the discharge nozzle in discharge nozzle compartment and lock into place with clip

Question:	Can this be used for potable water? Is it safe to drink after the transfer assuming it wasn't used for non-potable liquids first
Answer:	Why would you not be able to ! Providing you have NEVER used it for anything else but water ! I would use a glass of soapy water first then pure water and use it regularly BUT if ever gas or etc . Would never use for water again ! All it does is make a siphone I wouldn’t hesitate to use for drinking water after running soapy water first like you would for new glasses from a store !

Answer:	I don't see any reason why not. But once used for solvents or chemicals, it shouldn't be used for anything but that.
Question:	Can you tell me the width of the pump tube? I have something similar to yours but it will not fit into the tank of a weedwacker or blower
Answer:	The pump tube is not designed to go into most small tanks on a weed eater (or similar product). This pump is used to transfer fluids from a portable gas can or anything with a large opening. This fill nozzle is much smaller than the pump tube . The pump tube at the bottom is approximately 1 1/2 inches, the main tube is approximately 3/4 inches, and the fill nozzle is approximately 1/2 inches. Why not turn the weed eater over and drain the gas from it instead of spending money you don't have to?
Question:	Is there some type of protector/rubber boot that can prevent gas fumes from escaping
Answer:	No there is not rubber boot. You only insert it long enough to pump the gas or fuel out of the can. I use it regularly and I have not issues with fumes. Using this is just like using the spout on the gas/fuel container you buy, except you don't have to lift it to empty it. Fumes escape when you use the spout. Hopefully you plan to use it outside, and not near open flames.

Question:	Can this be used to extract oil from a car engine either from the dip stick location or the oil cap
Answer:	It is possible but not a certainty. The small black plastic hose that is included needs to be heated and stretched, then cooled to attempt to straighten it as much as possible. That hose is 4 foot long. Some engines will have a dipstick tube short enough that the hose can extend all the way to the bottom of the oil pan for nearly full extraction, particularly smaller engines or car engines opposed to larger truck engines which could be too great a distance. The hose adapts to the pump by a cone shaped hard plastic adapter piece that inserts into the end of the red vinyl hose. This results in a great distance you will be pulling the fluid so you may need to add oil to the pump intake before starting to get it to prime. The hard plastic adapter piece is not quite a perfect size and relies on friction fit on its tapered section so getting a good seal, yet not restricting the flow too much, depends on just the right amount of insertion of the black hose into it. The shorter answer is that it is possible to get it to do that in some situations but it is not ideal for it nor would it be the right tool for the job if this is your primary purpose for it. Consider that most engines large enough that they cannot be turned sideways or upside down to drain oil out the fill tube or dipstick location, instead have an oil drain plug on the bottom of the oil pan which is the best way to drain all the oil out. Certainly all cars have this oil drain plug, do not depend on oil extraction through the dip stick because this is a regular maintenance item performed dozens of times during the lifespan of the vehicle.

Question:	Does the tube fit in a dipstick for extracting oil from a car
Answer:	I would go to Home Depot and get some clear tubing that will fit ( Probably 1/4" tubing), and then stop by the cleaning section and buy a $2.00 bottle of liquid hand soap with a pump. Take the pump off of the soap and get rid of the soap in the pump, connect the pump to the tubing. It might go over the pump tube or it may fit inside of it well enough. Heat up the tubing if you cant get it connected ( you can use a lighter for like 1 second, hot water or a hair dryer or whatever ). Or you can use the oil drain plug but if for some reason you cannot, I hope this idea helps.
Question:	Is this long enough to hide under a car while siphoning gas
Answer:	I suggest hiding under the car, drilling a hole in the gas tank, then lighting a match to examine the hole. Let me know how that works out for you.

5. Both of the PVC hoses are not knotted or twisted together.

6. The rubber ball is in the right way, the indicator arrow which on the rubber ball, should toward to the target container that the fluid is flowing into. It means that the side which the indicator arrow shows, is the outlet.

7. Check the two hoses are in correct installation, the longer one is installed on the input side of the rubber ball, the shorter one is for the outlet side.

Question:	Can this be used to remove gas out of a car and putting it in another one? and does it take installation
Answer:	No. I find no use for this at all. It is completely useless. He could not remove gas from a lawn mower.
Question:	So you can't just start the prime with the pump, and it will run? Pump's one-way valve makes you have to keep pumping?! Seems slow and laborious
Answer:	There are inexpensive products and CHEAP products. This one was CHEAP. It would start, and then lose suction. I'd have to restart again and again. Part of the problem was with the packaging. Everything was crammed into a package that resulted in several hard crimps in the tube. Tried to get them opened up by running hot water on them then squeezing the sides of the crimp to open it up. However, once I went back to using it again, the crimps (four or more) seemed to come back and break the suction. Got the job done on a one gallon gas-tank on my generator, but I'd never use it on a big job.
