Answer:	The principle of the ITC-308S is, when the temperature reaches/ lower than TS (temperature setting value) - HD (heating difference value), it will turn on the heater, turn off at TS. When the temperature reaches/ higher than TS + CD (cooling difference value), it will turn on the cooler, turn off at TS. For example, you want to maintain 25°C, temperature range is 23°C ~28°C. Please set TS=25, HD (heating difference value)=2, CD (cooling difference value)=3. When the temperature reaches/ lower than 23°C (TS-HD), it will turn on the heater, turn off at 25°C. When the temperature reaches/ higher than 28°C (TS+CD), it will turn on the cooler, turn off at 25°C. Please note that the AH is alarm high limit function, AL is alarm low limit, they are separate from temperature control range. Question:	Does this tester have high enough resistance to load a circuit while testing like a traditional incandescent test light
Answer:	It doesn’t matter where your set point is it could fluctuate by that 1 degree either way up or down that is the smallest setting you can set on that unit let’s say your set point is73 degrees the smallest setting you have is 1 degree up or down meaning if the temp drops to72 degrees the heater should come on or if the temperature goes up to 74 degrees the chillers or fans should go on it works fine for me I have a planted tank with plenty of fish and the swing in temperature doesn’t seem to bother either the fish or the plants. Having said all that I would assume the greater volume of water the slower the rate of change the other issue that you should check is keep the temperature probe as far away from the heater as possible as that will help you maintain a more even temperature if you raise the set temperature by 1 degree to74 degrees then your low range would be 73 and the high range would be 75 as far as temperature accuracy goes when compared to another digital thermometer mine is within 1/10 of a degree . Hope this helps . You may be able to keep it closer using the centigrade scale it may bring you closer to what you need but I don’t know for sure.

Question:	Are the readings accurate
Answer:	Yes, it can only measure live voltage. But, many 12v outlets in cars are live with the key/engine off. I use it to keep track of my RV battery condition when the engine’s not running.

Answer:	Melek, I think this meter may be of value to you. It''s inexepensive and small, and can give you a good idea if your bat. or batt. sys. is draining lower than any of your stuff won't work. Good luck camping.!
Question:	Does this require a live outlet when are engine is off
Answer:	Sorry, I threw away the packaging and there are no markings on the tester. However, based on what I remember about the packing, it appears to have been manufactured in the Far East. It's definitely not made in the U.S. I was surprised by the quality of the product. It appears to be well made. A small roll of electrical tape was included in the packaging. The tape was made in China.
Question:	Is this a good thing to have in a camper running on a rechargeable 12V battery
Answer:	Put it in the trash and leave feedback so other don't make the same mistake as we did. I would never recommend this item to anyone! Mine stopped working too, waste of money...

Continuity Testing

While the diagnostic tool is in resistance mode, using the probe tip with chassis ground or the auxiliary ground lead, continuity can be tested on wires and components attached or disconnected from the vehicle’s electrical system. When the probe tip is contacting a good ground, the LCD will indicate”0.0Ω” and the green LED will be on. A beep tone will sound.

Activating Components in Your Hand

If the green LED went off at that instant or if the circuit breaker tripped, the tool has overloaded. It may be due to the following reasons:

• The contact you are probing is direct ground or negative voltage;
• The component you are testing is short-circuiting;
• The component is at a very high current. If the circuit breaker tripped, reset it by waiting for it to cool down(15 sec).

Testing Trailer Lights and Connections

While the automotive tester in DC Voltage mode, clip the auxiliary ground lead to the trailer ground, probe the contacts at the jack and then apply the voltage to the probe tip, lets you check the function and orientation of the connector and trailer lights. If the circuit breaker tripped, that contact is likely a ground. Reset the circuit breaker by letting it cool down for 15 seconds.

Voltage & Polarity Testing

While the electrical probe tester is in DC voltage mode, contact the probe tip to a POSITIVE circuit. The red LED will light, and the LCD displays the voltage with a resolution of 0.1V. A beep tone will sound. If you contact the probe tip to a NEGATIVE circuit, the green led will light, and the LCD displays the voltage with a resolution of 0.1V. A beep tone will sound. If you contact the probe tip to an OPEN circuit, neither of the LED will light.

Activating Components in the Vehicle

Warning: Haphazardly applying the voltage to specific circuits can cause damage to a vehicle’s electronic components. Therefore, it is strongly advised to use the vehicle manufacturer’s schematic and diagnosing procedure while testing.

NOTE: When powering up components, you can increase the life of power switch if you press the switch first, then contact the tip to the component. The racing will take place at the tip instead of the contacts of the switch.

Signal Circuit Testing

Easy to test the sensor. For example, if you suspect there is a problem with your M.A.P.,

• Set the tool in AC Voltage mode, using the probe tip with chassis ground or the auxiliary ground lead;
• Connect vacuum pump to MAP sensor;
• Contact the probe tip to MAP sensor positive terminal and observe the LCD readings which should be a sine wave in a normal condition;
• Apply vacuum, release vacuum and observe the LCD readings. If the LCD readings are abnormal, there is a problem with this sensor.

Question:	Can I use this to test the continuity of my water heater and RV frame
Answer:	This is a voltage tester for automotive, 12 volt systems. It is basically a probe with a light bulb (or LED). You would attach the clip to a ground on the vehicle, like the chassis or frame of the car which is grounded to the ( - ) negative battery terminal.
Question:	What batteries does it use
Answer:	I’m not sure which picture you’re referring to. They do have a continuity tester a 3504, but all the information written on this model in the product ad on Amazon indicates it is for voltage checking only. Just looking at the pictures could be confusing, because they could be someone testing for continuity. Good luck, the continuity tester is about $1 more
Question:	Pardon my ignorance, but the Clíp, serves as a ground? We’re should I connected or clip it too
Answer:	The readings vary from my tester a little by a few 10ths but it could be because one reading is at the battery. The indicator lights work very well which makes it very easy to spy on when driving.
Question:	Gb gat-3400 automotive circuit tester does not check continuity, so why does a picture of it suggesting that it does
Answer:	It shows the voltage as soon as you turn the key on but blanks out while the engine is cranking and comes back on as soon as the car starts. Not while it is cranking.

Answer:	Perhaps they changed the design. I just received mine and it uses 2 LR44 button batteries. I'd originally bought one of these at Home Depot. Do not put this on a live circuit (I crossed some model railroad tracks with the power pack on - oh well). Anyway, I was hoping for the 2 AAA battery version specified here. As the reviews have said though this is a really handy tool!
