Answer:	The fuse is a safety requirement that protects the battery bank from exploding if there are DC cable shorts. 1000 amps value is recommended if the inverter is ouputting 10, 000 watts. If lower AC power, the fuse can be proportionally sized. If maximum AC load is 5000 watts, then 500 amp fuse can be used. Two exactly the same quick blow 500 amp fuses wired in parallel equal one 1000 amp fuse. Also four 250 amp fuses in parallel are equal to 1000 amps. Marine sealed fuses and fuse holders are recommended because they do not spark when they blow. Battery protection fuses are mounted within a few inches of the positive battery terminal.

AFT HIGH SOOT & DERATES

When a failure occurs, this will prompt you a “high soot” notification on your dash and will derate your vehicle to seek service. You would need to take your filter off the vehicle and send to an approved DPF cleaning shop so they can assess how bad this filter is clogged. If it is a good candidate for cleaning, then you will perform that service and reinstall on your vehicle. This is where the reset tool will come handy, your filter is cleaned but your engine controllers do not know that. You have to use a reset tool to reset the system to make sure that everything is operating as a cleaned filter.
