Answer:	I can confirm that this adapter WILL read (I haven't tried to clear yet) ABS codes on Ford (2001 Ranger 4.0L), using FordSysFree or MotorDataOBD Free (both Android). ABS codes are in the Cxxxx range. Mine picked up, correctly, C0034 - Front Right Wheel Speed Sensor Failure. While other adapters may be able to read these codes with other Android Apps, this ELM327 BAFX adapter does capture ABS codes for Ford. That is the only one I can confirm. Yes, FORScan for PC should also pick up these codes with this adapter. I have not tested Torque PRO, but I don't believe it will read ABS codes with this adapter.

Answer:	well, the way Mac addresses work with bluetooth is they supposedly transmit a random Mac address if at all. That's just what I've been able to give up with, generally. I've never had that issue, but I've also not used other bluetooth devices simultaneously. disconnect Bluetooth to an app on your phone and does not connect through Wi-Fi, therefore it should not interfere with other while paired to a device. keep in mind this is a universal device that does not work without being paired to another Bluetooth device.

How do I know if this OBD scanner works on my vehicle or not?

The connector must be located within three feet of the driver and must not require any tools to be revealed. Look under the dash and behind ashtrays.

On 1996 and later vehicles, you can tell which protocol is used by examining the OBD II connector:

• J1850 VPW --The connector should have metallic contacts in pins 2, 4, 5, and 16,but not 10.
• ISO 9141-2/KWP2000 --The connector should have metallic contacts in pins 4, 5, 7, 15, and 16.
• J1850 PWM --The connector should have metallic contacts in pins 2, 4, 5, 10, and 16.

Will it read ABS/ airbag codes?

Sorry, NT301 obdii scanner is able to read and clear check engine information which is part of OBDII system, but it cannot work on non-OBDII systems(ABS/airbag/oil service light,ect.). While FOXWELL NT630 Plus can reset airbag/abs service light, FOXWELL NT614 Elite support transmission and can reset oil service light and EPB, and FOXWELL NT624 Elite can do a full-system diagnostics.

Answer:	It gives a text explanation of the code (eg. Nissan code P1135 = 'Intake Valve Timing Control Bank 2'). Beyond that, you're having to look online or in service manuals to determine what the message actually means and how to resolve it.
