Answer:	Generally not. The elm chip set is meant to be used on engine signals. Standard obdii does not cover wheel speed because this usually comes from the abs module.

Answer:	Without knowing more specifics of your vehicle the answer is "I don't know". This scanner is for OBD2 ports, If you have this port then yes it would work. If you do not then no it will not. Call a local GMC dealership and give them the VIN number they can tell you if you have this port or not. I am guessing on your 1995 it is not OBD2.

Answer:	So far it is not possible to flash Escape 2006 with Forscan software. It is possible to change all ECU parameters, turn existing features on and off etc (requires extended licence, which is free). ELMconfig software does allow firmware update on some Ford models but it does not support Escape.

Answer:	OBDLink EX works with Chromebooks that can download the OBDLink app from the Google Play Store. If your Chromebook cannot download apps from the Google Play Store, it will not work.
Question:	I have a windows 10 hp spectre and this device will not connect. the light stays red. any suggestions
Answer:	Make sure you're connecting using a 2.0 USB port on your HP Spectre laptop. The device is not recognized if plugged into a 3.0 USB drive. I had the same problem on my Dell, luckily it's got 2x3.0 USB ports and 1x2.0... The company that makes this device doesn't make that clear on the packaging or super obvious on their website (though I did find that answer there). I tried installing their drivers - WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE btw. For me, plugged into the 2.0 USB port and Windows 10 recognized the device and got a Green Light on the device. Worked as expected after that... Good luck!

Question:	I can not get the drivers to work on windows 10. Does not install Automatically and tried to down load at support site. What else can i do
Answer:	I had some difficulty when first trying to install the OBDLink EX FORScan Adapter in my computers also. I went to this site https://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP and downloaded the latest driver available on both of my computers (Windows 10 64 bit and an older Acer laptop with Windows 7 64 bit) Once the driver was installed, the EX adapter worked as it should. Now whenever I have the cable adapter connected to the computer, it shows a split second red light, then changes to yellow, then as soon as I connect it to the ODB II port on the car, it goes to green and it's ready to go.

How to update the FX2000?

Update this scan tool via USB cable or TF card, here's the upgrade guide via USB cable following.

Step 1: Before starting the upgrade, please connect this device to a computer via the USB cable, and make the network connection stable. (It supports WIN XP, 7, 8, 10 operating systems.)

Step 2: Download the update software from ANCEL official website (refer to the manual) and install it on a PC.

Step 3: Open the software tool, select the connection mode “USB” and click “OK” to continue. The "Product Serial Number" will be read automatically, then hit “Device Upgrade”.

Step 4: Move to the register page, type your email address and Register Code will be read automatically, then hit “Submit”.

Step 5: Click “Select All” and click “Download” to start downloading.

Step 6: When the 2 progress bars reach 100%, the upgrade completes. Click “Quit” and disconnect the USB cable.

Please Note:

• If the screen freezes during the upgrade progress, please disconnect the USB cable, and try it again.

Answer:	No, this is not a standalone code reader. This device only communicates between the vehicle computer / modules and a chosen software program, in my case I used it along with FORScan. Used with FORScan or another compatible software program the answer is yes, one could reset DTC's.

It took miles of specific type of driving to clear this monitor status (which cannot be cleared by the device.)When I returned to the inspection station I was informed that all monitors are not required to be ready to pass New York state inspection, and that my extra driving for this situation was unnecessary.

Question:	Do you only hook up to it when check engine is on or it stays plugged in
Answer:	Thank you for your question. The 3160RS will support TPMS, steering angle reset, EPB, ABS brake bleeding, transmission temperature, oil level, oil life, and brake pad life for most 1996 and newer vehicles. The 3160G doesn't offer any of these features. The 3160RS just came out less than a year ago and will have free, future updates. The 3160G has been out for almost 5 years now. The 3160RS uses are RS2 app which is only compatible with a smart phone or tablet. The 3160G uses our original RS software which is compatible on a computer, laptop, or smart phone.
