Answer:	Make sure you are holding it with the blade facing away from your palm. extend your index finger to the top of the blade and touch the little curved metal piece. if you push on it hard enough it will flip open.

Unfortunately, the bolster screw is now loose and I haven't had time to get that problem addressed. I love the knife but all of the ones I have tried with this style tend to have screw problems with the pocket clip.

Device Setup Instructions(The User Manual has all details for the APP):

• Step 1: Download and install the APP on your phone / pad.
• Step 2: Locate the OBD2 diagnostic port and Plug the device into the 16-Pin Data Link Connector (DLC) of your vehicle. Make sure the connection is good. “RED LED” always on for power indication. “BLUE LED” flashes when plug in for paring or in communication with ECU. When no communication, the “BLUE LED” might be off.
• Step 3: Turn ignition key to the ON position (or start up the vehicle running at idle speed).
• Step 4: Enable Bluetooth on your phone / tablet. (!!!!!! On iOS devices: You will see "NEXAS" on the list of Bluetooth devices, but DO NOT pair with it from here. Answer:	The Maxiscan MS300 is also an Autel product. It is a legacy product that has been superseded by the Autel AutoLink AL301¹. As is customary for these entry-level devices, it only reads / reports the generic OBD II codes. To move up to manufacturer specific codes one must move up to the Autel AutoLink AL319². Keep in mind that not ALL manufacturer specific codes are possible to read / report on. Answer:	Yes.It has an I/M Readiness mode that is able to show you the details of the readiness of each major emission monitor. There is even a button on the device that can select this directly without having to navigate through the menus.There is also a lamp on the device that indicates if any emission monitor is not ready.It is my understanding that the requirements for I/M readiness for each vehicle may differ from state to state.I had a problem with an air monitor coming ready after I identified, resolved, and cleared the underlying code. It took miles of specific type of driving to clear this monitor status (which cannot be cleared by the device.)When I returned to the inspection station I was informed that all monitors are not required to be ready to pass New York state inspection, and that my extra driving for this situation was unnecessary.

Question:	I have a 1999 chevy crewcab ls2500 4wd 5.7 gasoline v8. will it read transmission codes,will not go backwards. regards, steve
Answer:	Yes it should. 99 and 2000 model year trucks are notorious for that problem. The problem normally shows up after the truck sits for a week or more. They were leaving the factory new like this. Not sure if there ever was a exact diagnosis to the problem. Usually after idling and warmup for a few minutes and placing the gear selector in and out of reverse it will work, may clunk and jerk. If you research that year you might find some explanations. Other than that if it hasn't sat for a period of time you may look for the transmission code. It's a pressure issue and solenoid. Like I said the 2500 were leaving the factory like that and GM knew about.

• Step 2: Download and install the Creader VII+ updating tool and launch the program when installed.

• Note: the “User password” is equal to the “Register Code.”

Answer:	Lexus ECU are almost impossible to "crack" although this device is able to modify the programming of some ECUs when paired with the appropriate App or software.

Answer:	I've used it on an LLY Duramax, and it worked great. It cannot read abs computers or airbag systems. It only relays basic data from the ecu through OBD II. Like oxygen sensor voltage, baro/map sensor pressure, and fuel rail pressure exe all from your smartphone or laptop via bluetooth.
